Circassians, the indigenous peoples of the Caucasus, were exiled from their homeland at the end of the Russo-Circassian War. The expulsion was launched before the end of the war in 1864 and it was mostly completed by 1867.
Emanne was honored to perform this song alongside members of the folkloric dancing troop of The International Circassian Cultural Academy, Amman Jordan, July 2018.
Lyrics Translation:

Если бы Вы понимали то , о чем она пела здесь. Это песня плач изгнанных из Черкессии- Кавказа черкесов гонимых в Турцию русской армией в 864году. Это был геноцид черкесского народа, который Россия не хочет признавать и по сей день. Предки Иманне тоже были среди тех изгнанных, сотни тысяч из которых погибли по дороге в Истамбул. Без слез невозможно слушать , а плюс еще ее, проникающий в самые дальные уголки сердца и души, гтолос- это шедеврально.

I believe this is the South Theater of Jerash, which is still used today for its acoustics. Outdoor and holding 3,000. Emanne is 9 and her powerful voice is clear. Obviously the audience was thrilled when she entered and loved her performance.

So first of all, a quick moan... I am so annoyed with KZbin for blocking me from receiving 'bell' notifications of new releases/upload to this channel -- it is stupid, especially as I found this at the top of the recommended videos on YT's Home Page. That said, despite the poor sound quality (due to it obviously having been recorded from the auditorium's speakers and not via the microphone & audio mixer) it is a testament to Emanne's Divine voice that she still shone through in this like an incandescent beacon in the wilderness.
