This is the best video I accidentally stumbled onto. So the full substitution ends in the relative natural minor of the progoression as in: i iv VI v. I don't know why it's easier to think of the 1465 built off of the minor 1. Even though it's still major key.

I just feel uncomfortable you calling it C#. Since you're playing it in Ab, it should be Db. But other than that, it's a pretty good tutorial. And you're a great teacher, btw. 😁

C is 4 semitones up from Ab so all chords move 4 semitones up. Ab/C -> C/E C# -> F Fm7 -> Am7 Eb -> G Same goes for the subs Fm7 -> Am7 Bbm7 -> Dm7 C# -> F Cm7 -> Em7 The note on top all chords goes from Eb to G. Maybe an easier way to look at it is to use the numbers. So you can play it really in any key. Chords 1/3 4 6m 5 Subs 6m7 2m7 4 3m7
