Big quads need big motors. EMAX ECO II 2807 is my new motor for 7-inch propellers. Plenty of torque, power, and very reasonably priced!

Nice to have some affordable 7" motors, hope some others follow suit like Lumenier with their Chief series. "flippidy floppyness factor" should be an official rating.

literally starting the build of my AOS 7 tonight. I strongly considered these motors but they were out of stock like everywhere! Ended up purchasing Hyperlite 2807.5 1322kv motors instead. torque is good. torque is Life.

I got these for my inav 7 inch in 1500kv and they're great. Still I'm getting a little wobble but probably has to do with bad magnetometer mount. It flies fine on 4s or 6s but seems to like the 6s a little more. I've also noticed the APC B7x5E-B4 props cause these motors to run much much cooler (and they're much quieter) than for example HQ Prop 7x4.5x2 or HQ Prop 7x3.5x3 V1S Tri-Blade.

@alexall
@alexall 3 жыл бұрын
@@Mr_Eyeholes The motors are good in terms of efficiency. They fly quite fast, I accelerated a 7-inch quadcopter on 1500kv motors with 5s 3000mah batteries to a speed of 175km / h. On assemblies of 18650 2p 4s accumulators during slow flight, it flies for 30 minutes. But the bearings began to make noise almost immediately. Had to be replaced, the size of the bearings is 4x12x4. and this is not a coincidence of poor quality. I have two quadcopters with 1300kv and 1500kv motors and all 8 motors had to be replaced with bearings.

I've got the 1500kv version of these on my 7 inch SourceOne build. There amazing, but I did see some slight shakes when cruising at mid throttle. I gave the 7 inch tune preset from theuavtech website a go and it worked wonders. Its worth giving that a go as a base tune.

I love these motors on my 7”. Are they different from other 2807s? Maybe? I dunno, BUT they are like half the price of similar motors (I got mine when they were on sale for like $15 per motor, couldn’t pass it up). And they look great in my opinion. I got the 1700kv as well, works for 4S, if I want to fly 6S I just use output limit (yes I’m still on BetaFlight).

In general, it's a problem of a frame. It's 100% possible to have elongated holes that accept both patterns 17x17 and 19x19 plus a variation of 17x19 with is also popular.

@@FPVUniversity yes it's kind of upsetting ordering a frame from China to the United States and I have to alter the holes on the frame in order for the motors to fit. I can see if it was a 5 inch frame I'm trying to jam those Motors a lot but this is a 7-inch long range Roma F7.

Dalprop fold - no no no! The most shitty props in comparison with gemfan flash 7042, hqprop 7045, dalprop 7056. Dalprop Fold 20% less efficiancy then flash, more vibration on throttle movement, more propwash and it is not more aggressive, its simply need more throttle, thats why it makes a feeling that it is aggressive, but this is not true.
@ondrascz1
@ondrascz1 3 жыл бұрын
From the list of 7" props provided above the Fold F7 are by far the best ones. The best effectivity, the smoothest flight, the least amount of low frequency vibrations (and thus jello), no PW on the properly tuned craft.
@Pukkaras
@Pukkaras 3 жыл бұрын
@@ondrascz1 I flew more than two hundred batteries on different 7-inch propellers and had the opportunity to fully compare. I have feeling that we are talking about different propellers. Here, the effectiveness of dalprop fold simply for reasons of the laws of physics, cannot be the highest. Fold7 shitty shit, do not buy them , dalprop 7056 is one of the best, and gemfan flash may be the second

Not an expert, but had most success running dalprop folds on seven inch quad. Smooth AF. Had bad experience with HQ 7042, especialy with consitency of quality, some were ok, some were good, some just gave jello staight out of box.

@@ondrascz1 I tested nearly every 7" prop on the market: -Fold F7 v2: least efficiency, but also least thrust. Good balancing and good response (7.5g), -HQ 7040 durable: best balancing, good efficiency, worst response due to weight (9.5g) -gemfan 7040: most efficient 3 blade prop, good response (7.8g), bad balancing -gemfan 7042: good balancing and efficiency, very flimsy, absolutely useless for heavy builds due to flutter -HQ 7045: good efficiency, bad balancing, very loud -APC 7x5: balancing ok, very stiff (no flutter), best efficiency for speed cruise, -gemfan cinelifter 7035: best balancing of all, leight weight (7.5g), very good efficiency. Since very new prop, need to do more testing

Pawel, what esc amp is enough for this motor 1700kv?
@Pukkaras
@Pukkaras 3 жыл бұрын
I am not pawel)) but, I will try to answer. Firstly it depends on what you want from drone (speed , cinematic or else), secondly on motor diameter, and third on weight of drone and props diameter. I use jhemcu 40a 4in1 with 7inch props and 2307 1750kv motors(drone weight is about 800-900g with camera and batt). I fly freestyle, and never pressed gas more than 30 amps. At 30 amps, I fly 100-120kph depending on propellers and weather. never reached 40a. I see no point in a more powerful controller. At 30amps I reached 50-60% of throttle .

Nope. They are very soft, using a 4mm shaft that bents easily. Best Motors in this class are Brotherhobby 2806.5, because massive 6mm shaft and 12mm bearing. I tested them all: Racerstar airA, T Motor F90, EMAX Eco 2807 and BH. BH ist the clear winner in any terms.

@dnukPL 3 жыл бұрын
@@waldemarkraus2855 Thanks for Your comment! I'm just trying to decide: emax or BH and figure out the real durability difference beetween avengers and Eco's II. Brand new Eco II will be always better than any old and used motor. So, the question is, are those Emaxes durable enough to consider them to buy, or Avengers are far more hard to break than Eco's? Paweł did test of them - i really appreciate this, but i think we shouldn't compare brand new motors to the used ones - Lets crash that Eco II several times and see how it performs after some time in the air ;)
@waldemarkraus2855
@waldemarkraus2855 3 жыл бұрын
@@dnukPL I noticed that the ECOs had more imbalance than my other motors (airA, BH, T-Motor). Otherwise they seemed to be decent for it's price. Only downside, they weight 5g more than BH and T-Motor f90, but they also provide more stator volume and therefore little more thrust. They also seemed to be a bit less efficient.
