It looks great so far! Nice video! What cell phone are you using for these tests?
@OneManUnmanned3 ай бұрын
The video is not bad at all..Using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. If you have existing FPV goggles with HDMI input, it should work with your goggles. You can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaGtgKN4bdeHZpI

just for the record 9ms is the decoding latency please understand guys that the real glass to glass latency is somewhere in the 30ms range !!!!
@DeMoNSe3d3 ай бұрын
30ms is not too bad, but we need a google for this

Thanks for the info and update..30ms is not too bad.

Just got my goggles to work with Open IPC..You can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaGtgKN4bdeHZpI

Thanks for sharing! Maybe chromecast can do the trick of showing the image from the OpenIPC over HDMI :-) Would be really nice if it could.

Thank you for these videos, it has been helpful to get up to speed on this quickly. I think I am beginning to understand this a bit better. The EMAX VTX seems like it is really just the network interface card, not the full package. I assume you could actually still use a radax or another SBC if you want rather than Android. The SBC groundstations are just using FPVue as well it seems like, so it just matters where you are running FPVue from. Just have to wait for the hardware to show up and I am going to try this out on my Quest 3. FPVue does run on my Quest, so the EMAX hardware will just need to connect directly to the headset and the headset will do the video decoding.

@OneManUnmanned3 ай бұрын
This should be a good alternative to analog pretty soon. Flight testing will happen this week.

pls try radxa 3w as a vrx, its quite simple to build and radxa can output hdmi feed which can be used in goggles.

I’ll look into it..I just got Open IPC to work with my existing goggles using a USB-C Hub. Hopefully it’s good enough…You can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaGtgKN4bdeHZpI

Can we use it on Mac or windows
@OneManUnmanned3 ай бұрын
I'm not sure about Mac, but I think you can Windows. There is an Open IPC configurator for PC.

Hoping putting this on the HDzero goggles isn't going to be a bunch of wires floating around my head lol. Guess this will be streamlined in the future. So far it looks good.

Yeah, just got it working with HDZero goggles..Not too bad on the wires, but it works. You can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaGtgKN4bdeHZpI

The 9ms latency is only decoding latency. It is not camera to screen latency.
