To add to this, where most people can't get by on a normal wage or even afford to ever buy a house now, migrants from various countries can come here, participate in the rat race & become rich in their countries. I know this first hand from my sister's Romanian ex partner - his parents were able to buy a house back in Romania after working here for 2 years in a factory, as well as paying for a flat etc while here. It works out what we get paid in a week is 4x what they get paid in a month working back home.

The thing is this is nation wide. I live next door to a migration hotel. I am struggling to fed myself, looking at national insurance increases last year and council tax and income tax goes up in April. They are not worried about heating or eating.
