The hotel. reminds me of luxor in Vegas in the way that rooms are on different levels

Hi Chris. The room is spacious and doesn't make you feel cramped in. The breakfast buffet did look good. I like to walk too and would stay there if it's in the $200 range. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Finally, a hotel I've stayed at. We're HGV owners and we stayed there in "The District" on the 8th floor. It's typical of an Embassy Suites. The bathroom we had was huge and modern, floor to ceiling large tiles, frosted glass enclosed. The furnishings were a little nicer than yours, if I remember correctly. You can see the National Cathedral in the distance. I liked the neighborhood. We did walk to a few locations (restaurants, Metro) and enjoyed the treelined streets and homes along the way. It's a relatively quick Uber ride to get to the Metro or Georgetown if you don't want to walk. The snacks are not great and the free drinks are ok, but it is a nice way to wind down after exploring all day.

You’ve FINALLY reviewed a hotel that I’ve ACTUALLY STAYED IN! I remember really enjoying the place and it was surprisingly affordable back in summer 2008 when we were there (oh, and the parking was, maybe $15 a night back then, btw)

I had to do a triple take $70 a day for parking???!!! I was a Topher off for that. Never stay there if you drive from out of town.

I stayed at embassy suites in Indiana north Indianapolis mostly same setup unfourtley not for vacation

It's sad that they remodeled a lot of them to look plain. All the gorgeous light fixtures, murals, turtle and koi ponds, and marble interiors were stripped out. The embassy suites in Santa Ana California used to look luxurious now they have art from Target and HomeGoods. they did this with a few Hiltons too like the one in Scott's Valley. I love Hiltons, but some of the remodels were definitely disappointing. The Embassy suites in Ventura was upgraded to Zachari dunes curio collection and now it's just as expensive (without the breakfast and happy hour.)
