Embed a Power BI report on a SharePoint page

Great Video, I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for. My Power BI report is embedded on my groups SharePoint and similar to yours, I have slicers (filters) where users can filter data to find what they are looking for. I haven't shared the report with any users yet, so I am currently the only user that can view the report on SharePoint. My question is, once I roll this report out to all other users and said users are viewing the report simultaneously, how will the report act when one user has certain data filtered? Will these filters apply to all other users currently viewing the report, or does each user get their own "session" where they are able to filter data individually without affecting other users who are also filtering/ viewing data?

Hey hi Nate, Can we make this dynamic? Any changes to PowerBI report would auto refresh the Shareooitn site as well?

Is it dynamic? If the power bi report is changed sharepoint page is also updated ?

Hi have a question can we embed the power bi report server reports to Sharepoint online in similar way ? Will the power bi webpart be supported for that ? Do we need power bi license to view the report in Sharepoint online ? Thanks in advance

Hi Nate, what if the PowerBI report was generated from a SharePoint list integrated from within SharePoint? I want to add that visualisation as a web part in a page within the same SharePoint site. I find that the report link does not work. Any advice?

You can actually embed Power BI on any SharePoint page or news post using the same process shown in this video.

Hi, thanks for sharing. If I filter some selection in the Embedded PBI, can the PBI page always reflects to what I filtered after click "republishing"? What i found is the PBI always went back to the data and filtering when I initially embedded it to SharePoint, it can't "memorize" any filter i did in the embedded PBI in SharePoint.

Any filters you do on the embedded report will be reset on a page refresh. The only way to get filters to "stick" is to edit the actual report and re-publish it with your desired filters in place (keeping in mind this affects everyone's "default" view of the report).

Thank you this very informative video! I sent the sharepoint link with the dashboard overt to someone to view but they cannot see it. DO they need to have anything installed? I have powerbi desktop and also have it on my office365.
