a mobile phone's chip is limited to perform certain tasks.... embedded systems can perform a no of specific tasks and so can a mobile phone but it can't do anything beyond that.. lets take example of a computer and a mobile phone and the game fortnite... now fortnite can run only of flagsip processors (800 series of snapdragon). so when you want to play that game, you have to buy a new mobile phone. but if you want to play fortnite pc and your graphics card can't run it, you just have to upgrade it. so that's an option which embedded systems ( in this case, a mobile phone) do not provide. I hope you understand
