Ember Mug 2 Long Term Review | Worth Buying In 2024?

I think the constant boiling water applied doesn't help maintain it. It doesn't bother me though, the two annoying things are how dirty it gets and how it forms a skin that needs taking off with a piece of paper. I guess thats to be expected though, its great for use at work where I can take an hour or two to finish a cup, but not so good at home where I would just drink it in one go.

The coating that is coming off ends up straight in your drinks. That is why Ember recommends not to use metal spoons. I am not sure how I feel about drinking from such a mug.

The charging coaster doesn't last long and Ember doesn't honor its warranty.

Whatever you do, don't buy this mug. The charger/coaster would stop functioning after a few months and getting help from Ember is impossible.

I have to agree with Master on this. I’ve had my ember mug 2 for 10 months and my coaster won’t connect anymore as on Ed connector has lost its spring as it wing stay up and my mug which I’ve only drunk tea in has the inside coating coming off and forming a dirty inside base. I have to either buy a new coaster or another mug. Certainly not buying ember again.
