IF THE BUBBLE ON WAS BLUE IT WOULD BE COOL for a watercolor background. Great idea

Yes indeed! I actually have another one ; a quatrefoil pattern with with blue inks. Underwater is exactly what my plan was with it! Thank you for the suggestion! Those bubbles are great for that!

AAAHHHHMMMAAAZZZIIIINNNNGGGG!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! The background with the circles would be awesome with other larger circles in the colors of the alcohol inks so they look like bubbles or balloons. That would look fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity!!! Sending you blessings, love, & hugs!!!

Inky fingers are the best. Great idea. The one panels reminds me of honeycombs.

It's a fun technique, for sure. The laments you are taking about... are you suggesting a card with a honeycomb, bee, etc theme?

@@handiscandi I was leaning that way but then saw your other card had a bee on it. Or my mind was playing tricks on me. Lol is was about 1:30 AM.

Always sooooo nice to escape to watch you. Great technique. I Remember your previous rusty gears and cherish my personal sample you sent to me. I too first thought bee, thinking the folder dictated that, so quickly reverted to a rusty door and metal. Hugs ! ( a straw works well as a cheap blower or a baby nose sucker (sorry yuck) from dollar store). Luv ya
@handiscandi2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely right regarding the blower options. I've used a straw before. In the moment though I was no at all prepared so I improvised 🤷♀️ in the end is alright. Thank you, love ❤️

These backgrounds with the alcohol ink on tin foil came out so cool. I wonder if using the heavy duty tin foil would work even better? Your bonus card is beautiful

Hmmm.. that's a good question. The one I have is quite thin. If you give it a try I'd love know how it comes out

Holy smokes! First question... How did all that ink get on the back of that panel. I don't understand. But you make good use of it! Because that card is phenomenal. And I don't use that word lightly for good reasons. And as always don't make me go out and buy alcohol inks!!! Why do you do this to me? 😁😁😁 You're just amazing. Thank you for sharing. Hug, 💛TR
@handiscandi2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! You are funny! The ink is on the back because the foil is very thin, and even with the adhesive on the back, it is still thin and the pressure from the embossing folders going through the die cutting machine, causes tiny little fissures in the foil, allowing the ink to flow right through.

What is the adhesive that you used to back the aluminum foil? Could you use any other product? And then how do you attach the aluminum panel to your card front?
@handiscandi Жыл бұрын
The adhesive I've been using is a removable sticker paper from Rock Paper Scissors on Amazon. This is where I ordered it: www.amazon.com/Printable-Sticker-Paper-Count-8-5/dp/B01M6XBILQ/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1WDPO0QSFGESZ&keywords=rock%2Bpaper%2Bscissors%2Bsticker%2Blabel%2Bpaper&qid=1696014840&sprefix=rock%2Bpaper%2Bscissors%2Bsticker%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-8&th=1

Do you seal this technique?
@handiscandi Жыл бұрын
I've never used a sealant with alcohol inks, no. I have tried other mediums, and I continue to experiment. If I use a medium that does not dry permanently, I have put a sealant on it, for instance oxides or other sprays.. They never fully dry on foil. So I did seal them. I can't say that it helped that much, to be honest.
