The title got me. I have stencils, haven't used them yet,cause I'm not really a fan of stencils. But!! I like the way you're using them and I have to try it. Just got an idea,I have spray inks. Thank you so much for sharing this idea. I want to add a photo to the front of card and wondered how to recess a square so the photo would sit nicely into the recessed square. I hope this makes sense. xo

My pleasure, thank you for watching. To do something simply you could take an embossing tool and scoreboard and score lines onto the card to create a square and use the debossed or embossed side to add the photo inside the square 😘😘😘

Good to be reminded of how stencils can be used in different ways. When I am using the stencil for embossing I lightly mist the front and back of the card. It makes for a deeper impression. Thanks for your tutorial.

Thank you for sharing; this technique is fantastic! It provides so much more versatility and embossing image options to choose from than just the 2D and 3D embossing folders from the manufacturers. I have quite a large collection of purchased stencils as well as make some of my own designs with craft plastic and my Cricut. Still trying to get the sandwich right for *hopefully* a deeper emboss on my Spellbinders Platinum. Thank you again. Love your stencil. I have to add it to my collection. Subscribing.☺☺🙏

So,e times spritzing with water beforehand gives a deeper emboss and stops the card from cracking too 😘😘

You can experiment with combinations. As long as you don’t force things through you can try different combinations ❤

@@tracyevans56 Thank you. I just tried to emboss a stencil while running your video. I ran it, paused to follow instructions, then continued the whole video. Since it didn't work for me. I'll need to ck the GSM and/or purchase the Sizzex Big Shot impression pads. This hobby is so expensive, and I'm trying to take it easy with purchases...☹️☹️☹️ and I still need to work on purchasing the ink pads...I have cheaper mini cubes and stamp pads. Let's see how this goes

I did. I used the metal plate, no going. I tried 2 sheets of cardstock, didn't work I then tried with the 2 Craftmaster Silicone mats, no going. LOL, I gave up. Just need to budget the Sizzex embossing mat for my next purchase. Thank you for your kind response and recommendations. It's truly appreciated.
