This song is epic, I’m in floods of tears listening. I lost my mum 5 years ago and you were her (and my) favourite band. We went to so many of your concerts together starting when I was just 13. I’m turning 30 in a few weeks, and now my dad and I go to your gigs together to carry on the tradition (we’ll be at the Aberdeen gig next week!). Love you guys and your music so much x

Hi Kerry sorry for your loss. This song for me like you relates so much as I too lost mum and dad last Christmas. Music is the only constant that gets me out of dark places.💙💙💙🙏🙏🙏

@@kerryalisharobinson Oh Kerry you were young losing your mum. Your coming up 30? How was the Aberdeen gig? I'm guessing you live Scotland?🙏💙💙💙
@kerryalisharobinson2 жыл бұрын
@@michael5089 yeah I lost her just a few weeks before I turned 25, and I’m turning 30 in three weeks. Certainly not what I’d expected, I’d always hoped to still be going to gigs with her when she was an OAP! 😂 The Aberdeen gig was incredible, it was just so emotional hearing nearly 2 hours of songs old and new. The old I knew mum loved and the new songs, I know she would’ve had them on repeat too! I do yeah, up in Aberdeenshire 😊 have you managed to see them on tour this time?
@michael50892 жыл бұрын
@@kerryalisharobinson Lovely memories being made! You definitely get music like I do. Your mum was still very young and I feel your loss🙏 Hard to believe that Embrace started early 90s!! Unfortunately didn't see them on this tour but will check out some footage from Aberdeen on here. What are you doing for your birthday? Are you on any social media, be nice to connect with you apart from on here! 💙💙🎹🎤🎸

How are Embrace pumping out so much quality work with next to no recognition? How is this even possible? They should be massive even today, especially in a time where ideas are running out and they still never fail to impress

the first song i listened from Embrace was"Ashes", 23 years ago when i was 17, at that time, i was very sure that no other band or singer could replace their place in my soul...and proofed it to be right as i m now 40 already...and i m very grateful that day i occasionally turned on my television and listened the song "Ashes"...

This song makes me feel in company of my father who've passed away 7 years ago. He'd loved this song so much, as I do. Thank you for the music and the feeling that comes with it. It's amazing and it's a balm for all of us who have lost someone important.

Sensational! Funny that Embrace are going strong, pumping out classics like this in 2022 while most of their 'rival' bands from the 90s/00s are long gone!

Holy shit blast from the past, when I was about 16 (16 years ago!) they did a live set at Kerrang Radio in Birmingham. I was doing my work experience at Connexions the career advisor place (I thought It was being clever but it was kinda lame) But the marketing department got press tickets to go to a meet and greet and they gave them to me and a friend. We got the woman to put the Kerrang stamp on our face if they said they'd put us on their website / magazine. We were queuing up with everyone and when they checked our tickets they were like "oh these are press tickets, come and meet the band" and they came and signed this lil pretend vinyl sleeve with a yellow kerrang record on it. I still have it on the loft in my little box of childhood memories. If you're read this far, ProTip: If you get really hot, your feet contain lots of pulse points so keep them cool and the rest of you will stay cool. PEACE

I went to see them in 2015 in Aberdeen and Danny's vocals weren't good. Really struggled with higher notes and kept pointing mic out to the audience for help, maybe he was just having a bad night. Love this song and the Band.
