I quit using dye at 50, got my hair pixi cut and let it grow. I'm 67 now and my hair is down to my butt. I get compliments everywhere I go. I love it!

Awe thank you! I didn't think I'd have as much as I do when I first started growing it. When I look closely, there's so much dark in there but you can't see that from afar. My mom is completely white so that's probably where I'm headed x

Your hair looks lovely. I followed you and I believe we started at the same time. I'm 79 weeks in but I'm much older than you at 67. I did it cold turkey and I have long hair that I only trimmed a few times. My "natural" dyed hair was very dark and it was challenging but I didn't want to end up with crazy red hair from attempting to highlight. Anyway, I get compliments galore now and I'm very happy and we're going on a lovely holiday (local) with the money I've saved. Thank you so much.

I'm only 24 at the moment so not got any greys yet but this really inspires me to just stay grey for when it happens! I've never dyed my hair before anyway so hopefully I'll feel confident enough to keep that going for when the grey/silver starts to show. It's a beautiful colour! 💖

Mine told me that when I wear sunglasses I look like Bingo from the Banana Splits 😏😂 After watching one of your updates a few months back, I remember thinking to myself, 'She should keep this length because it looks amazing' but then, with every consecutive update since, I've thought the same! Hi definitely not vain, ignore him😊 I'm at exactly the same stage as you and am finally content(not necessarily happy) with my hair. Like you I had a lot of hair cut off and for me this was a big mistake and I hated it. Now the length is back, I hardly think about all. Still have some way to go, the journey hasn't been easy for me personally, but so glad I persevered. Yours is looking great xxx

Very much to my surprise, going grey has NOT become a trend during the pandemic, says my hairdresser. Maybe the transition is more popular in UK and US? I would say it was NOT easy at all. Your videos from 2020 prove it. "Yes!" to being bold!

It’s the length I’m missing my cut not colour is so aging . I bought a silver faux hair scrunchie. I felt like Lily savage. X

I stopped colouring after losing a lot of my hair at the start of this year due to low ferritin. Your videos always help me especially when I get impatient with how long this process takes! 🥰

I have really enjoyed your videos ,I started my transition February 2019, the same time as you and have loved to compare . You have helped me so much to get through some tuff times. People now think I have had it done by a hair dresser, no its all me I tell them. I still can get a shock if I see my reflection when Iam out, i have frightened myself a few times I actually screamed, at my reflection. I just love how healthy and shiny my hair is. I was darkest brown like you, however I was not brave enough to get a pixie, I went cold turkey with highlights. If I was doing it again I would cut it very short and just let it grow. Thankyou so much for helping me to survive.

You look fabulous- not just saying it, your length seems to have gained momentum this time. Your words are so positive to me. I started around the same time and have quite long hair. It’s sort of caramel brown so the the grey/salt&pepper link is not too distinct. However, I’m only still half way to having long hair ie all grey hair. It’s about half and half at the moment. I resisted cutting it but really need to have a good cut now. Like you I have a need to have long hair. Trying hard to be patient . Thanks for sharing x

Lovely shade. A lot of us are growing out our hair now but not many have such glorious locks as this! Mine is a dingy mix of brown and dark grey, so I have added some highlights until it all grows out completely, to make it more tolerable lol! Not everyone's hair will grow out a perfect shade of silver....

Thank you. You're right, it may not be a perfect shade that you see in magazines etc but whatever your hair colour is, it's what's right for you. Mine happens to be dark at back and light at front but based on my mom's hair, I'll be all white in 10 years 😂🤣. Your tones will be right for you too xx

I am amazed how fast you hair has grown. Maybe because I don’t see you every day, but I would say, maybe 12 more months and your hair will be very close where you want it to be. As always you look great. Love your hair. I will have my final hair cut probably within a month. Probably our hair is at the same length, just that mine is curly. We started around the same time! Stick with it! The colour you have is right for you.... I didn't like the way mine was unfolding until it started to make sense once it was a bit longer. It will look right for you once you're done and people will ask where you had it done- I'm sure of it! xx

I agree with you--you are here to help &share! You helped me and you still do.. I'm 72 weeks in I do cut my own hair just because I've gotten stingy about where I spend my money and I have curly hair so it's very forgiving LOL.. I think you're just stunning and could definitely be a model if you should so choose.. I love the idea of the extensions because just because we have silver hair and don't dye anymore doesn't mean that we don't want a different style now and again I totally get it!! And on the subject of Brothers LOL or sisters for that matter or supposedly well-meaning friends that say crappy things oh well--sometimes I just shake my head going I don't believe they said that and please anyone who is listening let me know if I ever say something hurtful because I will definitely apologize okay now I'm ranting sorry says the antisocial social media KZbin watcher :-) big kiss honey thanks again

It's not vanity, it's helpful and crucially it's inspiring. You have inspired me to ditch the dye - I'm at the 8 week stage which is huge for me - so thank you very much for helping me! I had really started growing my hair out cold turkey almost exactly the same time you did but my husband didn’t like it and I stopped seven months later. I’m glad I didn’t give up and tried it again this way it’s a lot less painful for everybody involved… Lol
