My home is evolved cottage granny with many old collected pieces. People think my home would be modern but I’ve loved this aesthetic since being a kid. Some of these shots reminded me of my grandma. She lived very simply and as a woman of 38 immigrated from England to the US with her 15 year old son in 1954. She worked as a seamstress until age 62 and lived till 93. I always wanted to stay with her as a kid for the weekends and loved her cozy feminine homes (usually cute apartments in older homes located in town where she could walk or catch a bus for her errands. Never owned a car. Grandmas were just different then. Thanks for sharing. ❤

I love this style of decorating. I suspect my grandmothers may have loved it , too, but they lived in depression-era West Virginia and had to survive on frugal minimalism... I like to call this style "Country Victorian" or "Victorian Country". I agree that this is soothing and comforting. We need soothing and comforting surroundings in our lives.......

Having a granny chic home in Sicily is quite a challenge but l created the English granny look. People that come to my house are very surprised and most love it. Have mixed some Sicilian ceramics here and there. Anyway the house is mine and l made it cosy for me and my dogs.

I know younger generations think of it as "old fashioned", people over thirty five think of it as traditional and quality pieces. Very little of what is made today or even over the last fifteen years will be desired or even kept, plastic and particle board is just trash and a waste of money. I love the term Grand Millennial instead of granny chic. I've been a collector for over thirty years and have brought my son up to know the difference between quality items and cheap trend pieces. We need to get back to seeing the value in well made items. Minimalist is admirable, but so boring to me.

I use Final Cut Pro for my video editing! For 3D motion effects, I often use plugins like MotionVFX or Pixel Film Studios, which work seamlessly with Final Cut Pro. Hope that helps! ☺️

We have inherited a lot of mid century and earlier furniture from family. Dressers, china cabinet, dining room set, end tables, bedside tables, as well as kitchen gadgets, dinnerware, etc. Nothing new comes even close to the quality of these vintage pieces! Why would we NOT use them?

Love the pictures but stop moving the camera so fast and sporadically. It is impossible to get the proper feel of it because everything moves too quickly! After about 3 minutes of watching this I started feeling motion sickness.

Very nice, but these most of these images seem photo shoot staged/stylized and/or ai generated. There's no Soul. No actual character, just genre. They're 'flat'. And no flow. Granny's home doesn't feel like that.
