I just started embroidering for the first time 5 months ago. I jumped in both feet first and bought the Brother PR1055X so I could start a small business. I have been learning along the way but was terrified to start using my wide cap system for it. In fact, I didn't even know what each of the 3 parts did! Your videos are so awesome! when i put the cap frame on the machine it dosent see the cap frame and thinks its just a regular frame do i have to install something on my machine pr670e

thanks for the reply... iv got it to work now its cap frame 2 .. its hard to work out how low you can go on the cap the embroidery defaults to ahigh position. ill work it out but not sure of how to set the correct area

I install my cap frame as shown in your video and in the manual, but I get stuck because the screen doesn’t show I have the cap frame installed. It shows my 5x7 magnetic hoop. Any suggestions at what to look at?

First off, double check that the screws holding your driver on are tight. If this doesn’t help, try removing the driver and turning the machine off and back on without any driver installed. Once on the machine should show the hat frame driver as the default with no driver attached.

@@mysewingroomdotca I'm having the same issue. With no driver, the machine automatically shows the cap frame, but once I install the driver it shows my rectangle frames. Screws are tight

What needle size you used for CAP?

Needle size is most related to the size of thread you are using. For the most part if using standard 40 weight embroidery thread most thread brands will require 75/80 or even a 90 in some cases.

The embroidery machine will automatically recognize the driver being attached for specialty hoops including the hat hoops. If you machine is slightly older and has not had a firmware update you may need to update to use more recently released hoops

Will this machine let you embroider the side of the hat as well?
