What is the brand of the double stick tape you used? I've never seen off-center tape like that. It makes so much sense!

I wanted to see how it went into the machine - and some of the stitching. Still none the wiser on where the side that is not embroidered goes. Is it near to the operator or inside the machine ?

It depends on how your machine turns the design and whether your machine stitches vertically or horizontally. You would need to look at the design on your screen to determine how the card is placed onto the placement line. Also, the instructions that come with our designs show you for each card how the placement is accomplished.

How do you know how to do the placement line?

How does a 40wt thread go through such a small needle that you indicated should be used. I don't even use 75/11 needles for my embroidery projects.
