This was FANTASTIC! I listened very closely to Dario too. My mum was knitting and embroidering pieces in the early and mid 90s, but very reminiscent of the delicate English garden style embroidery designs, not Dario’s mixed styles. It’s a delight to discover this program. (And feel so at home with the Aussie accents!)

Truly enjoyed this vlog/episode of Fruity Knitting. I learned new techniques that I will expand my world of knitting. I learned embroidery as a child and always wanted to expand it on my knitwear without using intarsia. Your channel continues to evolve the world of knitting that can be used in my everyday experience. Your finished projects were divine. I purchased the book of sock patterns based on Madelyn’s coffee sock project. Thanks for your hard work that makes us want more , but also satisfies my passion of handwork.❤❤❤❤

I love Madeleine's socks and she shows them off beautifully in those shoes. Andrea, your sweater is beautiful and while you are so much more particular than I am, I learn from all your modifications and feel much more relaxed about making changes. Both interviews were very interesting, and they are always impressive for the amount of content you develop. I'm happy to be a Patreon, have watched every episode, many more than once, and always find something new. Thank you also for the fashion shoots, the travel, and the bits of history and story, they do bring a smile.

I've had Dario Tubiana's Toucan jumper in my Ravelry favourites for ages and it was so, so intersting to hear about his processes in so much detail. i'm sure I will be watching it again. Mohair is 4x warmer than wool . So unless you only plan to wear it outdoors, the turtle neck is going to be extremely warm for indoors. Best to make a simple neck with no turtle for it, then make a cowl to wear over it for outdoors. But the sweater is lovely and looks great on you . Madelaine's socks a just simply charming ! What a great program. I really enjoyed the Icelandic interview info on the Tibetan sheep and Myak wool . The interview with Dario Tabiano was as spectacular as his work. I always loved wool embroidery and many years ago was enamoured with all the great wool embroidery coming out of Australian craft mags . Time to revisit my collection of those mags. It kind of got left by the wayside once I started needle felting which goes so much faster, but doesn't have the detail that embroidery has. Something I would like have heard discussed are the choices for weight of the yarns used. That would be an art form in itself and one of the distinctive differences between ordinary thread embroidery and wool embroidery . Thanks for another wonderful episode.

A very fun and interesting episode as always 🥰 Andrea, I really like your sweater, the colour and everything but I also agree with Madeleine that you should knit something using just the Devonia yarn 🌚 I love, love, love Madeleine's socks and the "fashion show" at this beautiful area was perfect, especially dressed with the perfect song ☕ I found both interviews very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing you again 😀 Take care 😍🧦🧶

Back in the 1980’s when I was knitting for my teenage girls, I knitted lots of intarsia and embroidery designs on their jumpers. I still have one pattern that I kept from that time and would be beautiful now with embroidery done much like the vest that was in the segment with Dario. I must get it out and do it! Beautiful knitting in your gorgeous blue cabled jumper and also the coffee socks. Madeline could do some embroidery on the sock that she forgot to knit with the missing details!! Loved the show and interesting about the Icelandic wool and women. Many thanks. Xx

I’m yet to attempt items of clothing. A lot of the men’s clothing out there is so baggy and unflattering…….and the patterns are quite limited in number, quality and design compared with the wealth of women’s clothing options available. I love the look of Dario’s work, though, so I’ll be having a look into more of his items and content to see what’s on offer! Discovered your KZbin channel through a linked story on a men’s knitting page on fb…….love your vibe/atmosphere: Feels like we’re all sat in your living having a knit-and-natter! 💜

I have only recently been watching your podcasts. They are well done and meeting the different designers, listening to each one’s process is fascinating. It is very frustrating for me that your camera is so far away from the people and most especially the projects. Seeing stitches up close makes everything so much more accessible. Hopefully there is a way for you to get us closer to the knitting.
