This is jaw dropping! I've been sewing for a good 45 years and consider my sewing machine skills to be quite good. That anyone can produce such beautiful work with just a sewing machine and a hoop is amazing. Well done! I'm going to have to give this a try. Hopefully my efforts won't be a complete disaster...

Congratulations, you are incredible. I am sure you have a lot of experience doing this, because from what I can tell, it's not the machine but your hands doing the job. I would say.... practice practice practice. Today we want instant gratification.

The person doing the embroidery work is really good at it, but this can be done with just a strait stitch on any sewing machine that anyone may have kicking around their house. The machine will need a feed dog cover, or the ability to drop its feed dogs though. If you notice the zig-zag is produced by the embroiderers hand movements (small ones) back and forth like a zig zag stitch would make. I fully agree with the posters below that it's beautiful and you're a crazy good embroiderer! Finding information on how to do this specifically on a sewing machine seems difficult, but there's a lot of hand embroidery stuff out there that can be applied to the machine. Almost every video that comes up in KZbin for "machine embroidery" applies to one of the computerized machines that do everything automatically.

The problem of using a machine powered by electricity is that the motor (small most of electrical machines have a small one) will become overheated from slowing down the speed on the pedal. When doing this type of free motion embroidery the operator has to slow down frequently to get the curves and make some stitches. That is the advantage of the threadle, it goes fairly slow when you need it and even when going fast never will go as fast as on the electrical machines. I miss my threadle machine.

there's no need any special attachments for the stitches. set your machine to 0 & put the feed dog down.. all I do is free motion embroidery. . move the hoop as I want to create the embroidery
