Honestly, minecraft holds such a close place in my heart, as stupid as it sounds, it really does. but man, its so amazing seeing all these mcyt youtubers i watched as a kid grow up,, stampy has moved on a bit, dantdm is a dad, pat and jen broke up and find new people, its.. insane to say the least. im glad i grew up with them, and while i now watch the newer mcyt people, i still always watch the newest content of the true OGs, i still find myself watching dantdm content a lot, and im glad the younger part of this generation will still have some great new mc youtubers to grow up with too :) i felt bad stampy never got the huge following he deserved, he worked really hard and still does, and i still and always will consider him extremely underrated. ill always miss the og mcyt community/og uploads, and i might be watching the newer mcyt youtubers more aswell, but ill always appreciate and love the people i grew up watching. without them i wouldve never gotten into minecraft and gotten so attached to the game. my father loved how stupid the zombies were, and we actually watched a few pat and jen videos together when i was younger, their content and my love for it and the game is what persuaded him into getting minecraft for me. He passed away almost 3 years ago, and ill always miss him, but ill always find such a close love and attachment to this game and the mc youtubers i grew up watching, i dont think id even be in the place i am today without them. And even to this day i always find myself listening to the entire minecraft soundtrack on spotify. makes me cry everytime.

I remember around 4-5 years ago, me and my friend had this creative world that we would work on for ages. We built a bit in it every week, and we would just mess around making stories in our world. Then at one point, we stopped meeting up every week. I have barely seen my friend in person since then. I sometimes run around and fly in this world and make minor changes. I’ve been waiting to meet up for years, but we just haven’t. I built a welcome back mural for him for when he returns. This music makes me extremely nostalgic for those days, and hearing the original Mice on Venus in that world brings a tear to my eye, remembering all those happy memories we made together in that world. I learned quickly you can’t reverse time. There is an infinite amount of universes too, one where you could die at any moment. And one could be where you die tomorrow, you die yesterday, and we could be living in that very universe. That combined with the fact time moves forward, unstopping, so never take life for granted. More then likely our life is the only thing we have, our existence only determined by our physical form as the only thing we truly own. We might cry over the fact we played this game as a child every day after school, made friends in it and played multiplier with friends on the 360, but it built who we truly are today. Without that, we would be nothing. The universe doesn’t care about us, but we should not care about the universe either, we live in a limited existence, so live your fullest. The world may not see you with value, but people who know you do, and that is what really matters in life. You can’t relive those old Minecraft memories, but you remember them, and as long as we have that we remember the times we were truly happy, and as long as we have those memories life isn’t so bad anymore. You can’t relive the memories, but you can make new ones.

This hits home for me. Here's a short story. So I lived near a library when I was in 4th-6th grade, and every day I could, I'd bike to the library computers after school and watch StampyLongHead Minecraft videos until it was time to go home. This song played in almost all of his Minecraft Xbox videos. My friends would be there with me sometimes, and we'd have a good time finding silly things to watch, enjoying SMOSH, Henry Stickmin, Tank Trouble, asdfmovie, and probably some other things. One day, one of my best friends moved away, and the rest of us had a slightly harder time having fun together, as we all missed him. Soon, all of my elementary school friends had moved away, only I remained. Eventually, it was my turn to say goodbye to that wonderful neighborhood. I just stopped watching Stampy videos, and soon my life soon took a not-so-great path (technically unrelated). I wasn't able to have much fun doing the things I used to do, and started doing some things I'm pretty ashamed of today. More years passed, I found and lost more friends through moves. Each time, it hurt. A year ago, I finally found out the name of this song that played in so many of Stampy's videos. I found out that he had quit Minecraft for some time, and only just recently came back to it. Today, I clicked on this video and listened. And. I. Cried. I'm still crying as I type this. How did things ever get to where they are now? WHY are they the way they are now? Why did I have to lose my friends? Why did I have to make such terrible decisions? Why am I the way I am now? Why haven't I fixed these problems? WHY? The only question I have that I know the answer to is why I am crying. I know full well why. It's because I miss "the good old days". It's because I miss my friends. Even online chatting doesn't last forever, eventually you'll stop talking to each other and move on. I'm crying because I know these things, and there's nothing I can do to go back to the way things were. This song brings back wonderful memories, and they hurt me on an emotional level. I can never go back to simpler times, I can't find many ways to have lasting fun and joy anymore. I can't go back. This song reminds me of days in the library, days spent with my friends, days I might just forget. No matter how many friends I make today or in the future, we'll all go our separate ways. Just telling someone to suck it up isn't always a sound strategy. Calling them a "snowflake" practically ensures that the person won't listen to you, as they probably will only hear condescending preaching and insults. Crying doesn't show weakness, letting off bad weights and working through problems is better than carrying bottled emotions. Now, don't get me wrong, "woe is me" gets real old, real fast. Crying over everything can be evidence of emotional weakness in that the person shows they're incapable of withstanding the smallest struggle, but reminiscing on good times and feeling deeply sad that you can't go back (for about as long as it took me to type out the initial comment) is not a sign of weakness. It's a way to let the sadness off your shoulders, and a great setup for resolving the issue by pledging to improve your future. So, in conclusion, "get over it" is not quite a valid argument in this scenario. I hope you think this over, and come to your own conclusions, whatever they may be. I've been playing Minecraft for 7 years. I was so confused at first, we thought it was impossible to beat the ender dragon. I was there for the wool color + bed color update. I was there for the village update. I was there when there was mini games. I was there whenever flat worlds had villages. I was there when the tutorial existed. I watched Stampy, DanTDM and other OG mycts. I remember finding diamonds for the first time. I remember the ocean update with drowns and fish. I remember the nether update. I remember Notch selling Minecraft. I remember being scared to go into caves.... I'm scared for the caves and cliff update because I'm scared Minecraft won't be the same. *I remember and I was there.*

My grandpa just passed away recently and I miss him so much. He was 75 years old when he would passed away and there was no cure to helping him. He also worked in the Air Force and he had a specialty in engineering. He was ready to walk with the Lord when the time comes when his body would start shutting down, and I know he is thriving in Heaven right now. And for all the people who still have their grandparents, remember to spend time with them. They don’t have that much time before they might pass away. And when you do spend time with them, remember that you can’t go back and do it again. So cherish every moment with them. I know I am late because this video/song has been out for more than a year probably. And thank you to all the people who might comment or like on my comment.
