Not the day I was hoping to be sharing with you all but despite the mishap lots of positives to take from the day and we live to fight another. The ups and downs of horses... and eventing!

Don't worry about the disappointing end to your day, horses will be horses and it seems like you learned tons from the experience, at least Dressage and Show jumping went well, Lola is looking amazing at the moment

Your horses are so beautiful and you have done so well already. Your puppy Nala is beautiful too - I've got rescue Spanish greyhounds called Jenny and Nola - I've not heard another name like my Nola before so it's lovely to hear your girl is called Nala! You are definitely allowed to have a good cry over that one, but you rose a beautiful dressage test and a smooth stadium round! It happens to the best of us and you are doing right by Lola to have her looked at as a precaution. You and Lola will be back out there storming around cross country in no time💜 Do you have a video where you show the tools you use and how you do your quarter marks? Lola always looks dressed to impress at events and I'm tempted to give quarter marks a try on my horse.

Don’t beat yourself up over it, on wards and upwards. Lola looked amazing and you nailed the showjumping. Lola looks absolutely fantastic. I’ve got to say every time I see Spritey taking a extra long in your intro my heart goes into my mouth. I would loved to see her jumping in her prime. She still has got some moves though.

Have to add you were Amazing in dressage! Show jumping too, especially handling her sideways spook! Falls happen, I guess it's why it feels So amazing when everything actually comes together and we stay on. Love watching your adventures 💕

Lovely scores on dressage &jumping. Well done. Show mates, stable mates can make it tough for the human & horse, one on one best connection. I think today gave credence to your idea. Very sorry about the XC. You probably had just taken your leg off as you were expecting to rise up for the jump when things got squirrelly therefore able to land on your feet from exiting the side door. Quite the acrobat 🤗 Thankfully you & Lola are ok. Love your analysis after your shows. You seem determined -& willing to learn from all of it. You have a goal and the bravery in it's pursuit. I recently brought a horse from home to my mares lesson , thinking it would keep her settled. BAD IDEA!! The moment we left the trailer out of sight of him she was a basket case. Plus he was calling to her her the entire time. But now I know not to do that at a show. Sorry about your show, but I can tell it will motivate you!!

Mares certainly can be tricky, just have to find what works for you both. Yes definitely motivation is on an all time high! x

Well done Emily on the dressage and show jumping. Such a shame about your cross country, but glad both you and Lola were unhurt. I have to ask how do you do Lola's hind quarters so lovely? She looked fabulous, well you both did. Well done on taking the positives of the day. It was strange not seeing you travel with Tina and Banksy, but understand why you travelled separately. May not of been the day you wanted but it was a realistic day it just proves horses are not robots they to have bad days and I think this was just one of Lolas bad day so thank you for keeping it real life and not super coating it and can’t wait for the next one

I can so understand your disappointment in the fall, but the main thing is both you and Miss Lola are in one piece and good to go for next time. As you say you aced the dressage and the showjumping so a huge well done for all.the work you are both putting in to improve her performance . Remember keep looking forward and look for the positives. Cannot wait for your next outing. So glad you and Lola are OK xxx

Sorry it didn't go as planned but that was still a really good vlog to watch. You had the cry to get it out of your system which is good and appear to move on well. You know you can do it and it's just one of those things, next time will be better and all the best for the one you're aiming for. Great vlog as always Em!!😍 Don't be too despondent about your fall hun, I'm just glad it was a side door one, you landed on your feet and you were both ok! You did so brilliantly in your dressage and showjumping hun, she even did well to jump clear after that spook she had, a lot of horses would have probably had the fence down after a spook like that. There are a LOT of top eventers who have falls, so yes stay positive hun because you really do so well and are a fantastic rider! It was great seeing Nala enjoying herself so much throughout your vlog, glad to see how she really loves water now too lol Looking forward to your next vlog and hope you have a great weekend hun, take care 😘💜

So sorry Emily that you had your "hiccup". I can't lie, I did miss your interactions with Tina, but fully understand your reasons & Lola seemed more relaxed. I thought you rode beautifully in both dressage & showjumping. I wouldn't be surprised if Lola tweaked something for her to stop, she looked fit & willing. It is early days after a long absence from eventing. All your hard work is paying off - upwards & onwards. There's nothing wrong in having a blub - it's human. I look forward to what's next. This may be what Lola needs for a bit. It's been a weird year or so. Just to reset her brain. I hope logistically the separate travel isn't a forever thing. Not gonna lie as the owner of an anxious dog Nala running up to that other dogs face made me cringe.

What a heartbreaker! After such a lovely test, a really strong, clear and confident showjumping ride from you (love the canter half pass in the corner!) and the footage of that foot perfect cross country combination, you were on the road to success and then one little issue... However, that's all it was; one little issue. The rest was SO solid and you rode really well. I would have had a "little blub" too. However the positive far outweighed the negative and I can't wait to see more from you two because you are looking amazing.

I just fell off xc at my first ever BE…and at the water! Gutted really is the only way you can describe the feeling. But horses are horses and we’re always learning, so onto the next! You have to look at the positives, and the way you rode the dressage and the sj was brilliant 🤩

Loved the vlog! So bloody frustrating to have a silly fall on Xc! I had one 3 years ago and landed on my feet and smashed one of my feet and was off for ages! A fall is a pain in the area but thank goodness no time off or injuries and back to it!! Xx
