"Emerald Realm" (Demon) by CastriX, CuLuC, bli & more | Geometry Dash 2.11

"Emerald Realm" is a long-awaited art project, and I was excited to try it out to showcase it after CastriX asked me to. If you're a fan of the games, this has some obvious references to the Ori series throughout, which seems to be base for the entire level's theme. It's been a while since I got through the games in the series, but this reminded me of some of the great scenery. Some parts do take art a bit more directly from those games, while others make it fit a bit better for Geometry Dash, and I like the latter approach a bit better. However, both are impressive nonetheless, and I have to applaud everyone involved in this project's visuals.
As for the gameplay, well, the visuals probably speak for themselves in terms of performance. The level lags quite a lot at certain parts in its current state, even on my PC which has incredibly good specifications. I put in a few hours of trying to beat this legitimately, ending up at 80%, but upon watching the recording the lag was extremely noticeable, so I had to play around with some MegaHack settings to get a smooth recording like this. Even with that, a few parts struggle a bit in the video if you pay attention. As such, I wouldn't recommend trying this on a mobile device; it's probably just better to enjoy videos of it then. However, it's worth noting that the level isn't finished yet and that they will still be optimizing it more before release. A powerful LDM should also be available once it's out, and that should hopefully allow a lot more people to try it out. In terms of difficulty, it should be a Medium Demon. I think many parts play surprisingly well considering their level of detail. The difficulty mostly comes from the level being so long. Some transitions could use some more polishing, but that's another thing I'm sure they'll improve before the final release. It should be within a few weeks!
