Saw Rhapsody of Fire for the first time in John Smith metal festival in Finland this year. Got a ticket for my 66yo mother since she´s been a fan since 2002. She loved the performance. I enjoyed it a lot too.

This is not the real Rhapsody. The original Rhapsody with Fabio and Turilli still play concerts too.

@@V3ntilator This is actually the 'original' Rhapsody, if we can call any of those bands that anymore. The original founding members were Alex Staropoli and Luca Turilli, both being the main composers. Then we obviously had Fabio, Patrice and Alex as core members. All of them left the band at certain points, leaving only Alex. Luca then forged Luca Turilli's Rhapsody (for promotional reasons, he was told that he should still use Rhapsody reminiscence), which was his original solo project (good one) and then together with other original members he created Turilli/Lione Rhapsody (cheesy name, kept for same reasons) which played original Rhapsody songs. As of now that band has disbanded with no plans for revival (all of them said they will put that era behind). Meanwhile, Alex still leads Rhapsody of Fire and with new members, especialli the singer, the band is revitalised like never before. Truth to be told, they sound phenomenal live, which could not be said about Rhapsody during Turilli/Lione time, especially at the end and especially the other band.

@@eMKayJR Yeah. I watched both bands live within 6 months back in 2019/early 2020. I liked the Turilli/Fabio band better and they also had a better setlist. In fact Rhapsody of Fire had to cancel the tour after i were on them because Covid became known after being spread for 4 months already since late 2019. Anyway. When i listened to Rhapsody in 1990's, Rhapsody of Fire didn't even exist. I always looked at them as some kind of cover band.

Turilli y Lione no hacen falta Son músicos quemados su más reciente output no mueve ni un tapete (x supuesto que Into The Legend fue un discazo pues Fabio es reemplazable pero su labor nunca despreciable) Esta banda es Rhapsody of Fire ahora Legendary Years suena muy bien con Giacomo Roby de Micheli es un guitarrista fenomenal y los nuevos discos The Eighth Mountain, Glory for Salvation y Challenge The Wind son obras maestras (no veo la misma respuesta x para Turilli y Lione que ya ni trabajan juntos en cambio Rhapsody of Fire de Staropoli sigue en pie) No se trata de competir, todos conocimos al viejo Rhapsody pero en mi opinión el nuevo es una banda que entrega buen a musica Saludos
