Anyone else get the feeling Lois kicks him in the shin at 0:27, when he looks down then at her? (plus a very subtle move to him on Lois' part) There were so many things these two did as Lois and Clark that were just off of camera when they happened that the SV camera guys didn't shoot, or the editors cut out, that we missed. Sometimes it really bugs me because they were all wonderful moments!

Hansol plus I’m not sure if this is the question you were asking, but basically, the two relationships are meant to show how people change as they grow up. Clark’s first love was Lana, but because they were so young they ultimately grew apart. The adults they became didn’t fit together the way their teenage selves did. On the other hand, Clark got with Lois when both were matured and knew who they were and what they wanted in life; they fit together perfectly as adults. So, that’s why Clark started off in love with Lana and later fell in love with Lois.

Lois and clark do well on this show because shes a rude, neurotic jerk while he is infinitely patient. Lana was his childhood friend and they went thru all the trials and tribulations of adolescence together, including confusing crushes, first loves, identity searching, and suldr villains. If relationships only needed love, lana wouldve been 'the one.'

Lois has always been characterised as being stubborn, passionate and challenging.in every iteration of Superman Clark is calm and Lois is a spark. To insinuate it works in this story only cuz she is a jerk is ridiculous. 80 yrs Of Clark and Lois in Comic and fandom lore exists for a reason Lois is a personality in her own right which makes her the super hero consort who is Most popular, nobody remembers Clark and Lana only Smallville Clana Stans but everybody remembers Lois and Clark.

Just because there are good interpretations of their relationship elsewhere doesnt mean this is automatically one of them, so referencing comics is meaningless when talking about smallville. Lois does have a strong personality here but she also treats him like trash unnecessarily many times, while his relationship with lana was perfect by tv standards and only ended due to external circumstances. Referencing other media is meaningless because im talking about smallville. Lana barely even exists in some iterations of these characters.

Consistently wanting Clark to be a version that SHE can understand rather than accepting him. I like Lana, I believe her character is an an Important part of his hero and romantic arcs. I even understood their relationship, but it lacked maturity. Lois is not perfect and who enjoys that? She is flawed but loyal, she is first a friend who cares about him even comforted him. She teases him like a sibling. This is their dynamic, it is a playful at times combatitive to and fro. At no time do you truly belive they hate each other. As for the suggestion that Lois is somehow abrasive and hurtful to Clark and Lana's treatment of him was kinder in the Smallville universe holds no merit. Both are different women who held differrent but important roles in his life. Truth is Clark was attracted to Lois while still pining over Lana. He did not want acknowledge what ws apparent until his inhibitions were lowered like Red k. Do t diminish Lois's character to justify
