Translation of the French one: "As you hear this alarm and see this message, the Minister of Justice is putting out an abducted child alert. A description and image of the missing child, and the area and time they were last seen are being sent out. (Because it's currently blank) If applicable, the information of the suspect will be sent out as well. Please call the displayed phone number, if and only if you have information regarding the case. An abducted child alert is in effect. Your mobilization is essential - the life of a child is in your hands."

I love how the French alert for a missing child is so serious. In America it’s like “Missing kid, here’s the license plate.” Lmao
@Neanderthal14 жыл бұрын
They are fucking serious with it. At least the good part in French people is their will to protect children's. In 10 years on the ~20 missing children's, there was only one found dead and it is the last one to date. It seems effective and they give every info possible (clothing , where they might be , what the kidnapper looks like , last place seen , etc) in a matter of seconds.

Usually television alerts give physical descriptions. They aren't done too often anymore though due to phone alerts becoming a thing i think. Kinda dumb since when a kid's kidnapped it's extremely important to have a physical description of the child and the abductor.

I think the most important part about Israel’s EAS is the fact that the civilians handle it *so* well. Even though it is a very common experience for the country specifically, they are setting excellent examples to other possibly at-risk countries. I’m not saying that every country gets struck by missiles, but that definitely does not mean no countries get struck by missiles.

I love how casually they say “Step 1, put on your gas mask.” First time I’ve ever seen an emergency alert, that must be frightening for whoever ends up seeing that on their tv though :/
@jellygirljude4 жыл бұрын
Ireland- Like a normal news report, but it’s still a little scary to think about France- This is one of the scariest alerts to me for some reason. The announcers deep voice and the silhouette of the child is 2 spooky 4 me. Israel (sirens)- That situation is one of my worst nightmares to be in. Israel (2)- Holy shit that looks terrifying, I hope everyone there was safe Saudi Arabia- That message is awfully creepy, especially the part about having to put on a gas mask. Singapore- That siren is chilling! Turkey- Kinda terrifying, even though it’s just about a snow storm. Great video, love this series!

2:46, that's the Amber Alert sound that's played for all Dallas/Fort Worth area Amber Alerts, the sound predates Canada's use of it, it was first here on North Texas airwaves in 1997 when the first ever Amber Alert was issued. now or days, that sound is heard with the familar US EAS tones in North Texas as WBAP, the primary EAS station for North Texas plays that sound for all North Texas Amber Alert EAS bulletins.

@rayvega31633 жыл бұрын
6:31 The reason why the guy said to put on a mask is because there's some kind of a missile (pretty sure it releases toxic fumes when it hits the ground) that might hit the city. EDIT: I'm sure it's during the Gulf War.
@Kielie4 жыл бұрын
Although most hate them I think that the more scary alarms are the best as due to the flight or flight instincts causing you to have a adrenaline rush helping you get to safety as fast as possible. Thats only if its used as a alert for bombing or something that can cause a loss of life. For example: A snowstorm wouldn't count but obviously a tornado/hurricane depending on where you live would if strong enough.
