Your decorations are wonderful. I like the mixed color lights, maybe because when I was growing up no one made single-color strands yet. The colors give me a really warm, relaxed feeling. Halley's painting is great!

Right now I have a tank set up for shell dwellers. I’m waiting for all the parameters to stabilise. Black sand, rocks with Anubias en snail shells. In three weeks I’ll pick them up. Very interesting and fun cichlids to have. Go for it!

Shell dwellers should be fine with the Tropheus. Tropheus aren't predatory being primarily grazers, and both inhabit different parts of the tank, so they aren't in competition with each other.

I do celebrate Christmas but I don't decorate for Christmas anymore because everybody does it. Well outside I don't because my favorite holidays are 4th of July Halloween and Valentine's. T, its really easy. You have a phone in your pocket. Quick google searches and you find what you need to know. Do they get big? What temps can they handle? Are they aggressive? These are the questions you find with 5 minute searches.

Sometimes I do, but sometimes I’m too busy trying to see everything in the store in the time we are there, or holding the camera to show you all! After we get home though, I sometimes look up the ones I saw and enjoyed😃
