You have lots of trees around your property. The parrot must be happy flying in the forests. Ask your neighbour if they catch a parrot that is missing from your Aviary. Don't be shy asking people about missing pets. Good luck. Take care you and RJ and all.❤❤💙

Hello Mr. Bustos and RJ, just a suggestion why don’t you install a camera surrounding your property. That way you both and the staff can monitor the surrounding area. Keep all Safe! ❤️🙏

I don’t think that his neighbours will appreciate being monitored like that. It’s a wild animal, it wants to wild even if born in captivity. Wild birds don’t belong in cages.

That warmed my heart when you said you miss us. I do miss you too and I know you are really busy. I saw RJ's story, he replied you are busy with the vivarium. I do hope your crimson-bellied conure will return to its home. 🙏 Wowww! Exciting times are coming with your new project and the Iloilo performance this Sunday.

one of my friends had an African grey fly out of the door, when she put her bin out. there does seem to be one living in the woodland near there, according to bird watchers, but sightings are rare and its been 23yrs, i like to think she flew back to Africa and is the matriarch of a massive flock. Hope your parrot turns up, she may hear her friends and sit on the cage
@lct7192000Күн бұрын
Mikey, you should record the birds and when you go on your hour long walk play that recoding to see if your red-bellied Conure comes back to you. The other thing that may have happened is that someone may have stolen your birb. If one of my birds would show up missing I would be so devastated. I'd be walking and calling all of the rbcs' names every day. Call any vets near you and let them know your bird is gone. Alsonrecord the codes from your remaining birds' bands.

So nice to see you again! I am so sorry about your birdie😢 your house is beautiful. I wanted to see the swimming pool. I have this fascination with swimming pools. I don’t know why. When you said it was kind of chilly taking a walk in the morning I said I would love that kind of chilly because it is -4° in Denver, Colorado where I’m living lol. Imagine that you walk outside and instantly your nose hairs freeze. But you said you’ve been in Canada or something like that, I’m guessing you lived there before and I heard Canada‘s worse than the United States so anyway. Many blessings to you and I pray your little birdie comes back. I really love your Avery and the chickens are so cute. I just wanted to play with all of them. Take care my friend and good luck this weekend on your show. I’m sure you will shine like a star!🥰💕💕💯🙏🏽

I knew your cage would break. The welders did a horrible job. Most likely the welder burned through the wire creating no bond in the materials or welds were dirty because the surface wasn’t prepared properly then water can caused it to corrode and stress in the metals from not welding correctly, too much heat in one spot will cause stress in the metal, will cause that to happen. I would do an investigation into other weak spots. If you can pull away the screen with your hand, the weld has already failed. The welding was sub standard. Edit: in 30 years of working in welding I have never seen such a thin gage wire screen welded to a frame. You either have to frame the edges with a sandwich plate or use special clamps to bolt it in place. Wire screens are always secured with fasteners. At the very least the fabricator should have used wire ties to secure the panel to the frame every 30cm or so. You got ripped off.

You should leave food bowls on the aviary where the bird can find it, or have an ELEVATED cage (to avoid predators) with food and water, parrots like to return to familiar surroundings. And play conure recordings. Have someone watching the area you put it, just in case.

A block down from where I used to live have a newly built house. The owner hasn’t live in that house yet, but the owner bought appliances (stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer) and have it delivered. Few days later all the appliances were stolen, and they found out that the people who delivered those appliances were also the ones who stole them. My point is, yong ibang workers na nakapasok sa property mo ay malamang yon din ang may alam kong nasaan na yong parrot 🦜 mo. It was probably stolen dahil di kaya ng parrot sirain yong metal cage.

I'm so sorry to hear about the parrot escaping. However, you gave it an incredible life! You don't have to worry about it flying into windows or being afraid of larger birds. All the hard work and training you put in has definitely paid off. Plus, since the parrot moved from the Indoor Aviary to the Outdoor Aviary and is a native bird, it will surely adapt quickly in the wild. You both did well, Mikey and RJ. Be glad, not sad, Ligaya is watching over it; You guys did your part, and I know that parrot truly appreciates it (thus RJ having the dream lol)! *EDITED PART: Oh! I just remembered-bring out your clicker (the one you used with the chopstick for training) and walk around your property. Click it near certain trees or in your backyard forest. This could work because animals have a keen sense of memory and awareness of things they learned while growing up. I hope this helps! :) By the way, could it be that you're finally releasing your Mabuhay Squad Coffee? I'm really excited-Caffeine is life, hahaha😁

It's so sad that your bird is missing or gone. But I hope it comes back. I think they would be safer if you didn't move them outside. Since they were indoor birds, the bird might not survive outside. All kinds of other flying animals might try to break into the cage and hurt your birds.

This just proves keeping pet birds is cruel. Birds don’t get lost, they have a homing sense. You feel you’re giving your pets their best life but birds just want freedom. No amount of cage space or gourmet food will ever beat freedom. They are not pets, even if bread domestically. They are still wild animals.

I feel like the aviary needs more perches. It looks very bland and empty compared to their old indoor one. They can fly further now, sure, but it feels like a massive downgrade in terms of enrichment. They seem to spend a lot of time clinging to the wire sides (admittedly, I can only judge from the footage you show, so maybe that isn't the case?). Maybe they chewed a hole over time?. I can't imagine being on concrete all the time is good for the pheasants feet either, don't they need to scratch around in the dirt, like the chickens?. I do genuinely hope you find your bird though.
