I think the saddest part of Hodor's death was that his whole life consisted of living to that destiny. His entire life was taken by Bran in that single moment. And Hodor's death was inevitable. Unlike other deaths in the show that usually can be avoided by different decissions, the moment that Wilys became Hodor his destiny was sealed. It was a really touching moment. But now I wonder what Meera and Bran will do. They are in the northest part of the continent and they've lost their most powerful companions... They are really fucked, and Bran is going to have to deal with the guilt of ruining Hodor's life...

The way I saw it was, Bran wargs into Hodor from the past and future at the same time, Bran becomes the conduit for Hodor from past and future to become "connected", so the young Hodor experiences the moment when the future Hodor dies, which messes up his mind.

Bran was doing this when he was touched this is how he knew where Bran was? Because the action is location specific. 2) It's a bit of both, the both being, he's marked you with his touch, so now he always knows where you are.If this is the case, it should be impossible for them to run without any sort of real help.

LadyStarkgaryen Mmhm. I don't honestly have a lot of theories on how the wall will come down. The obvious is Bran or if the horn finally surfaces and like Benjin has it. I am hoping it has more to do with choice and with the NIght's Watch rather than Bran being an idiot and accidentally undoing the wall's magic. I think they may kill the entire Night's Watch. Think a repeat of "hold the gate" during the Wildling battle. If the Night's Watch believe there is no hope they may sacrifice themselves to take out as many as they can. An entire wall of ice is going to bury and take out a whole lot of wights. I also think there is definitely a reason why Davos and Jon are parked where they are currently. Davos remarked out loud on screen that it had strategic advantages. These characters don't do a lot of 'small talk' so that will be important. Maybe they can trap the White Walkers there and fall back to Winterfell if Ramsey takes the bate and leaves Winterfell to launch an offensive attack against Jon, the White Walkers could kill all of Ramsey's men. Jon and Sansa are trying to recruit more men to their side, if I were them I'd stop. When White Walkers are killing them all I think they will unify with minimal whining.

I mostly agree with this. He's still manipulating her though, but he was genuinely upset over what happened to her. He did not know much about Rasmay, but probably thought he was like his father, Roose. Big mistake and bad calculations on Littlefinger's part. The way he told Sansa about her uncle, Blackfish, and how he's pretty much getting back Riverrun shows that he's still trying to win her over. If he had sounded more sincere, then he wouldn't have been trying to win her trust back. It shows that, like you said, he's projecting his love/obsession of Cat into Sansa but still trying to win whatever else he's been planning his whole time.

It was brutal. They did an amazing job. I haven't cried this much since the Red Wedding. Which was also the last time I cried watching the show. +Un1qZ I like this dynamic. Brienne has never had a man take an honest sexual interest in her in her entire life. As far as she is concerned, no one would ever have sex with her and she has no idea why Tormund is making eyes at her. She's thinks he's completely addled. But Tormund honestly desires Brienne and sees in her the sexist woman he's ever laid eyes on. I mean, sure, it probably because he sees that his children would be invincible with Brienne as their mother, but it's still an honest desire to have babies with her. I love that GoT has taken five seconds out of each of the last two episodes to throw this out there. It's completely off-book and unnecessary but an amazing comedic addition that has the potential to provide a positive ending for two of the "good" characters on the show.

GRRM is freaking brilliant! You gotta think BIGGER when trying to figure this out. It's difficult to type out so bear with me. Hodor as we've known him, as always loyal to the Starks and protector of Bran. We often wondered why Hodor was the way he was. But in the tree Bran looks at him and says "Hodor, you could talk!" Hodor acknowledges. "Hodor, what happened?" Hodor acknowledges again, almost with sadness, but of course can't say. When Bran has to warg into Hodor to hold the door, Willis hits the ground with a seizure like episode. This episode affects him in a way that purposefully silences him from ever telling anyone what happened! He knows the truth of the "future" but can't tell anyone even if he tried! He would have been considered a mad man if he spoke of such things. The "Hodor" affect on the brain protected him thru his life so that he could help Bran in the future! He was always considered a harmless simpleton, but he really knew a ton of information. It's brilliant writing. It's sad as shit, but brilliant nonetheless. Everything happens for a reason.

So in case any of you are wondering how the whole Bran time travel / affecting the past/future works…I’ve got you covered in 6 easy steps: 1. The first ever version of Hodor in time is born (Hodor 1.0), he will eventually win the Game of Thrones & becomes Hodor of House Hodor, the First of his Name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm. 2. Whilst that is happening the 1st ever version of Bran is born (Bran 1.0), who goes beyond the wall, meets the 3 eyed raven, goes into the past and sees a young Hodor (the second ever version of Hodor in time, Hodor 2.0) who is still a stable boy. 3. Whilst this is happening, Meera has miraculously got Bran outside the door and even more remarkably has closed it, however she’s not strong enough to hold it against the Walking Dead and Rick Grimes is preoccupied so she shouts at Bran to wake up and help her hold the door. The reception in the past is not great because 4G isn’t invented yet; so Bran mishears Meera, he thinks he hears her saying “Warg into Hodor & hold the door” but what she actually says is “Wake up, hold the door”, because she needs help pronto! 4. When the 3 eyed raven says listen to your friend Bran, he promptly wargs into Hodor 2.0 who witnesses the death of Meera (Lyanna’s twin daughter, who he had a secret crush on - as seen in a previous flashback (to be clear - a crush on Lyanna not Meera) and Bran. The White Walkers take over the world. 5. Meanwhile in a new version of time, Hodor 2.0 is not King because the entire realm would just be holding doors by royal decree, and that’s no basis for a system of governance, shit simply wouldn't get done. Hodor brought tears to my eyes not out of sadness. It was out of the sheer heroics that Hodor displayed. He died a true man protecting the realm and all the people in it. Dude, like he said, the actor who plays Baelish said he didn't know. He was even apparently told that Baelish didn't know what would happen to Sansa. Yes, he was selfishly trying to gain more influence in the north by having her marry the heir of the Boltons, and that's obviously a dick move, but he had no idea how bad Ramsey actually was. Remember, the reason he knew all the secrets of the people in King's landing is that he ran a brothel there, not because he has superhuman insight. Last night confirmed that the show adheres to the self-consistency principle of time travel. Anything that Bran tries to do in the past has already happened in the history of the show. Hodor's mind was already broken even though Bran hadn't gone back to break it yet. That means that Bran cannot change the past no matter how much he tries, the ink is dry.

There is no gods. GRRM is an atheist and primarily a sci fi author. There is good evidence that Planetos is a post apocalyptic world that regressed into the middle ages. Magic can easily be relegated to telekinesis. The fact that Bran can affect the space time continuum convinces me further of this popular theory.

It would be really cool if Hodor is revealed in a later season as a white walker but due to the Wierwood magical corruption in his mind which led to his insanity, he is somehow immune to the persuasion of the White Walkers; i.e. he is still the good old Hodor, or Bran can still worg into him. What I find particularly comforting about this theory is the idea that Hodor still has a role to play, and that his destiny to go insane and die for Bran was more than just a sacrifice for the greater good.

I was super pissed. Ghost and Nymeria are left, but after that episode, I'm convinced that they are going to kill off all of the dire wolves because they just like killing off people's pets. It's like the only reason they included 6 adorable dire wolf pups in season one was to slowly and brutally kill them off one by one through out the seasons. Ugh... it makes me want to vomit. I want more dire wolves. I love the dire wolves. I didn't even like the show until they found the wolf pups. They had me hooked at dire wolves. Now they are dropping like flies.

Littlefinger's comment probably just reinforced to her how dangerous he is to her family and she wants nothing to do with him because she can tell he just wants to use them to get power for himself. All she cares about right now is her family, the only family member she has right now is Jon. No way is she going against him. If you analyze her comments and actions so far you can even see that she's trying to make Jon a King of the North type figure. She keeps saying that Northerners will follow him because he's Ned Stark's son and then she actually made him a cloak in the style their father wore. Why? To remind the Northern houses that he is Ned's son. I think she wants him to walk into the room and for everyone to see the second coming of Ned.

The HODOR resolution was pretty important, and satisfying. I felt the confirmation that the Children of the Forest created the White Walkers was the most important piece in the episode.
