I've never met someone who has reflected the deep love for emergence that I also have. I've been in search of how to find a profitable career in such an area, but it really is so, so diverse. I'm a Graduate student studying artificial intelligence, but my passion lies in imagination and creativity. I'm taking a course right now called Creativity, Consciousness, and Imagination, and I bet you'd ***love*** it -- we talk about these sorts of concepts to no end, and I think corporations these days are dropping the ball by ridding artificial intelligence of its creative core. People like you keep my faith alive that there's more to be explored. Had my pockets not been empty I would have surely supported you in your journey but unfortunately I myself rejected a wall-paid job just to finish masters in physics because I was pursuing a new idea of mine which really connects a lot of fundamental dots in a playful way, but without a single penny. But finally the work is complete and recognized among the experts. Man... the part where you talked about programming being your creative outlet and how expressive it can be resonates so hard with me. I remember when I was in high school discovering programming I thought "wow this is limitless potential." During uni and early years of my career it was exhilarating to discover and make anything and everything that sparked curiosity. Fast forward to years of working in corporate software development and I've become numb to it all. The past year and a half with AI have rekindled my curiosity again and I've been programming stuff in my spare hours in the evening, sacrificing sleep (and work sometimes) to learn and discover or challenge an idea I had. Once I've finished my mortgage I too plan to drop it all and pursuit programming again like I did when I was in uni. I'm happy for you mate, and I wish you nothing but good fortune!

Sounds all too familiar. I burned out some 15-20 years ago now.I still get excited about coding project ideas, and i even boot up an IDE every now and then. But often, i just get stuck at that point, staring at "the blank paper". So much has changed since i was active, and so much is spaghettified into corporate preferences of certain languages, weird hoops and holes, poor documentation and hollow promises of performance while behind the scenes performance is actually worse for greed reasons (i am looking at you, nanite, lumen and TAA). So i end up closing the IDE again, with all my creativity still screaming to get out.

I'm going to be blatantly honest right now, this is one of my favorite channels I've come across on KZbin. Your interests and philosophies align a lot with mine, and you're able to actually bring a lot of the ideas of programs and phenomena to life in a way I truly find inspiring. It seems the KZbin meta (and the algorithm) REALLY prefers growing specific channels. I think you should consider making separate channels for the Minecraft, non Minecraft projects and maybe even one for the opinionated type videos you mentioned. I think this would make BOTH the Minecraft AND non Minecraft videos perform better, since they can grow separate audiences for the algorithm to feed to, even if they overlap somewhat. Just a thought, good luck!
