It’s so crazy to remember being 13 years old back in 2006 and watching Baker 3 religiously and loving Spanky’s part. Then 16 years later he’s still skating and putting out sick footage and on a good tip with the family/sober life. So much respect for this guy 🙌

Emerica’s never a stranger to revamping classics and shoes in the vault. Their whole approach is recreating the shoes of years past with the current tech familiar to skaters. I simply don’t think there’s enough of a market for 2022 cupsole remake of the Tilt, too niche.

thought the boardslide was going to be the last trick, thought to myself ‘damn this is a sick commercial’ then the wallride 180 came on, and i thought to myself, ‘oh shit this is a part now’ super hyped on this shoe and just everything that is spanky, i love to see people transcend the expected path and reach new heights and that’s exactly what KSL been doing the last few years and it’s so motivating and awesome to watch.

Emerica dropped a small run of the Reynolds 3 G6 (still a vulc) within a year of Reynolds leaving. The Reynolds G6 was also inspired by his first two shoes. Pretty sure the first shoe had two releases and the second shoe had three. The Reynolds Vulc is still in production, so idk when we’ll get a true cupsole Reynolds re-release.

This shoe looks great. A thick cupsole for jumping down stuff. I am riding the Gamma atm which has a similar sole to this one and it is amazing to skate. Great impact protection but still flexible enough for boardfeel. Gonna definitely be getting the new KSL G6 next tho.

How do they fit? Since the Wino G6 and similar silhouettes dropped, I’ve had sizing troubles for the first time with Emerica. The Wino G6 Slip-On fits at least half a size large.

@@ianturnbow7011 If you asking about the Gamma, I got my usual size and they fit true to size. Since there isn't a lot of padding on the upper there wasn't much play. I've had no issues with the fit. I would say the outsole/midsole is absolutely great. It somehow manages to give you good boardfeel with excellent impact protection. The flick is also very good and consistent since the toe is pretty low profile. I would say these are probably my favourite shoes I've skated in the last few years. The last time I liked a shoe so much was 2 years ago when I had the eS Accel Plus, that model with the velcro strap.

Spanky has developed a unique style, super graceful skater he is and this new old shoe is what a skate shoe should be. It is great that you have made a vegan synthetic suede version. Can't wait to spank me with some new kicks for my birthday.

The G-Code G6 dropped a couple years back. I think they only had a black suede and white suede drop. No clue why Emerica didn’t re-release the Westgate G6 when runner’s toes became popular again. I’m still not sure why other in demand models aren’t given attention besides the market not necessarily wanting old shoes to return.

Meanwhile many other brands are charging near or over $100 for team edition kicks, not even pro models. $92 is a bit steep, but when adjusting for inflation and all of the extra bullshit with COVID + shipping, it isn’t so terrible.
