My former drum student , Kevin Shepard, was the original drummer with Tonic. Kevin is Tom Selleck's son through one of his marriages. Kevin met the original members of Tonic at a Saturday night jam session he used to go to at the famous Deli called Canters on Fairfax Ave in Hollywood. He was one of my more successful drum students having had a # 1 and a #2 Hit record with Tonic during his tenure with them in the mid 90's.

Emerson has such a great voice. He is a great musician, as well in Tonic as solo. I have been a fan of Emerson/Tonic since the early 2000. Love the lyrics of the songs, you can rely relate to them.
