One of the best knives I own is the Emerson Commander. At the time I bought this remarkable knife it carries a date of 2000 under the wings. I bought it in 2001 at a Gun show in Raleigh N.C. and although I have several knives both fixed blades and folders I have to admit my Commander is one of my favorites. On occasion I have been known to give away certain prized knives to my grandchildren and friends from Buck to CRKT to Ontario etc... but I never will depart from my Commander. On a last note I became interested in the Commander from an ad i saw in a Gun magazine showing it cutting through a rather large piece of beef. Kudos to Mr.Emerson for I love this knife.

This was awesome. I just love your knives. I hope to eventually own a zero grind commander someday. I check out Area 51 daily, but someone beats me to the punch every time.

Any chance you'll do another run of EX-100s? :) Great video. Have you thought of doing a video of Mr. Emerson actually making custom knives from start to finish. Talk about capturing history for eternity!!! Love watching this man make the prototypes.

Nice video I see why even when I was in the army your knives were on another level. The only thing that kept me from one of your knives was the chisel grind. I really don't have a excuse now. Guess I'm gonna have to get one to support a great American business and a good man.

There should be more super editions of current models. I'd love to get a Super Seax and have been hunting for a Super Roadhouse for years now. A Super Barracuda and HMMVK production models would be great

what about a survival knife comander fixed blade. with a saw on the back made out of 3v. call it the EEK. just the bad intent skull etched on the blade. 1/4 thick.

Why is the fit and finish of Chinese knockoffs so much higher than what comes from the Emerson production line for $16 shipped? Only a disillusioned fan boy would buy the real thing.
