I got a ltd alexi 600 with a blackout (2006 model) and i just ordered a emg alx hopefully ill get it asap so i can swap out pups...im also going to try to upgrade to brass claw and brass block along with stainless steel components for my floyd1000

That's what I've heard on other emg models (example zakk wylde set) but can't confirm 100% sure yet, lets see it in few months

the difference is that EMG-F-ALX is F spaced, meaning its made for floyd rose bridges, that's literally all the differences

@@iranee5597 im not that familiar with those pickups but you should leave grounding wire intact. Usually pickup change requires only solder the pup wires off and replace those spots the new pickup wires. (check instructions for with wire is hot etc.)

I had a similar problem, but i didnt have enough long wire to get from the input jack to the pot. Could you help me? (the wire is the black and white one that splits and goes to the input jack) can i just connect one of them to the input jack with the green extension wire or do i need to have them both

@@zul1a_215 Umm if i remember correctly connect it to the white and then connect it to the input, check the "alexi laiho signature guitar installation" manual for a clear graph

@@finnishboy45 i tried i think everything is correctly placed the pickup works alltho really quietly but there is a fuck ton of electrical distortion sounds that should not be there

@@zul1a_215 I just bought the same pickup and the same problem so i connected the green cable to the black cable of the 9V battery that should go in the output jack, and to avoid thath noise put some insulating tape on the connction

You used ALX, shouldn't you use F-ALX? And great video. I have an alexi 200. I am ordering the F-ALX. The ESP Has a floyd rose specs so I ordered F-ALX I hope i didn't fuck up lol

this particular pickup is made for bridge and yes it is pretty easy, just follow the instructions guide. No soldering required.
