In recent years, I've come to appreciate what a good, fun, simple, and intuitive transformation can bring to a figure. MP-10 was the perfect balance of complexity and show-accuracy in my opinion. This figure has more panels than a 3 month Comic Con. Just not for me, but I hope those who buy him enjoy him. With that said, he does look damn good in both modes.

I appreciate your comment. I was playing with my kids just today, and wishing I could get MP-44 in truck mode quickly so we could continue our adventure! My kids are on the quick change Rescue Bots, and I was honestly jealous of how quick it is to go back and forth between modes. I think I may pick up an Earthrise Optimus for play in the future!

Man, the way you handled that transformation actually made it look kinda fun. I REALLY wish I could afford this guy, but 600 dollars Canadian is just too damn much for any figure this size.

@@kayodave7191 I had him on pre-order at AmiAmi for a pretty similar discount but I had to cancel it (and boy are they passive-aggressive when you cancel). Even at 140-150 dollars off it's just too rich for my blood right now. At this point I'm thinking if I ever own this mold it'll probably be a WeiJiang version, if they do one. Likely won't have a trailer or some of the accessories, but it'll be really good quality at a better price point, even if they upscale it.

This is my first Masterpiece that I am still transforming and I feel it's like solving a Rubik's cube or building an advanced plastic model airplane for the first time. KZbin videos like yours is greatly appreciated.

It's both impressive and terrifying how over-engineered this thing is. I don't collect the Masterpiece line - I prefer CHUG scale - but if I did, then frankly I'd stick with MP10.

What earns that high price is the trailer. I can see why the price, but I don't think the trailer and all the accessories are worth it. I. Would prefer the Nemesis Prime repaint just because it lacks the accessories

I came back to this after seeing an early review of ss-86 prime to see what similarities between the two were since they look like scaled versions of each other and the studio series transformation is what this transformation should have been

I honestly love it. It's over engineered, but it isn't floppy or particularly fiddly. Every goes where it should with minimal effort. It's complex but very solid in both modes. It's not worth the current market price of $700-$100, but it is worth it for $450-$600 for sure.

Trying to get the side sections above the gas tanks aligned perfectly such that they will groove into each other for truck mode might be the most annoying yet ultimately satisfying thing I've ever done with a Transformers figure. All worth it for that perfect cab mode, which I'm seeing for the first time since it wasn't even done properly fresh out of the box.

Hey @emgo316, thanks for this video. I just picked up a MP-44 and I used this video to help transform it. I do have a question for you though... around the 8:41 mark of the video when you press his midsection down toward his waist area to sort of lock it in place, after you did that, did it seem loose when you would rotate it from side to side? After I pressed mine down, it did not seem as secure as yours and i could easily rotate his midsection. I know I've heard of issues with certain joints and what not and am trying to find out if I am experiencing that issue. Thanks!!!

There’s a point where it’s not fun anymore…where the transformation just becomes a nerve-wracking frustration. Having all these unnecessary joints and hinges that ultimately destroy not only the integrity of the structure, but also end up being unattractive in one mode or the other or both. And then the forcing/wedging of parts and pieces behind, under and between…. Jeez. I had to break out my 20th anniversary prime just to do something quick and satisfying.

Emgo please help. I finally got this guy. The left inner knee will not tab in it off by about an 1/8’. I may be able to bend the plastic to get it place but worried it may cause damage, if not now in the future. Sent him back and got a second one. Same issue with the second one. Any chance ideas?

The entire thing is fauxforming, the only true part is the shoulders. They even managed to (technically) make the chest windows fake by flipping them around. I am amazed.
