Hi. Can someone help please. I have a 24 inch Apple Cinema Display that has stopped receiving a video signal from my MacBook. The all in one cable that has failed is no longer made and I cannot find a replacement anywhere. I have read that I can wrap my cable in foil or a self adhesive foil tape and if I fully shield the cable with the foil then it will create a new shielding. Would this work? I have nothing to lose as without the cable then the display is good for parts only. Would I also have to create a new layer of insulation over the top of the newly created shielding? Thanks for any advice.

Conducted EMI starts where the electronic device interfaces with the wall outlet. If you are running off battery, then you do not need to worry about conducted EMI. Radiated EMI is still of concern though (both from a transmitting perspective and a receiving perspective). Mitigating radiated EMI is a very complex topic that I will make more videos on in the future.

@@RGBEngineering How to block the EFI between the motor (which is powered by the inverter) and the EFI created by the generator heads, which keeps shutting down the inverter??
