Essa música é uma carta de desespero de alguém com depressão preste a cometer um suicídio, um pedido de Socorro, por isso o nome e amarelo, relacionado ao setembro amarelo, que no Brasil se combate a depressao em setembro. Essa música é um mantra e merece todo reconhecimento e respeito.

Ela começa com um áudio real de desespero, mas ao longo da música ele traz a força da ascensão e que esse ano vai ser melhor. Elo é aquilo que pode fazer corrente. Uma leitura desse AmarElo é que o amor pode unir como uma corrente. Em tentativas de suicídio o isolamento é um fator de risco de morte. Nesse sentido, o amor tece (costura) afeto e pessoas, amortecendo a dor da falta de sentido para existir.

Curiosities: 1 - As many people have said before me, "Amarelo" is Portuguese for "Yellow" (which is the colour used in suicide prevention campaigns) at the same time, the word has the verb "To Love" ("Amar") and the noun "Link" (Elo) wich is no coincidence since Emicida is mainly known for his ingenuity when playing with the words in his lyrics. 2 - The Ballerinas who are shown during the clip are real, they LITERALLY built their Dance School by themselves in the "Favela Complexo do Alemão", which is a ghetto area totally neglected by Rio de Janeiro's government. 3 - It is the first time in Brazil that we have Emicida (one of the biggest Brazilian rappers who is also responsible for his own label and a street wear brand that debuted in a huge fashion show in São Paulo - the "Fashion Week"), Majur (a non-binary black singer who was almost anonymous before this song) and Pabllo Vittar (who is a symbol of LGBTQI+ resistance and you might know well, for sure) in the same song. Brazilian Rap is quite misogynist and homophobic, so this is really important in many ways. Cheers from Brazil @violetdaze

this song is a poetry of Resistance 💔 There are parts of Belchior's music, one of the greatest Brazilian artists, who represented our culture well in his lyrics, Amarelo means yellow that is the color of September, the month that Brazil campaigns against suicide, and Amar Elo means that love is a link of strength, that love heals pain and gives hope. I'm glad you got the meaning of the central verse, which is a sample from a 1976 song written by Belchior (in memorian) and named "Sujeito de Sorte" ("Lucky Fellow"), but I wish the translation had been more emphatic, outlining that _"Last year I died, but _*_this year I won't die"_* . It's incredible how Emicide managed to talk about mental health, the everyday hardships endured by black, marginalized people by bringing together a 1970's song, Majur, a transgender black person, and pop (drag) queen Pabllo Vittar. I did not see this coming. The history of Brazilian music will forever remember this wonderful production.

Glad you made a reaction for this video. Amarelo means yellow in portuguese. Yellow is the color we pay attention on traffic lights when we are driving or walking. And it is also the color which represents mental health and the attention we have to pay on our brothers ans sisters who can be passing through moments with depression. Note that the name of the video is AmarElo, which means the color yellow in English. In September is celebrated the event "Yellow september" that fights against high rates of suicide in Brazil. But when the rapper uses the letter E in the upper box, he separates the name of the color into two words: "amar" and "elo", which means "the link of Love" in english.
