Hi Emil! After watching your Lava Lake World Record, I decided with no expert experience of this game to try and grind the track. I have (somehow) managed to achieve a 2:01.5 and know I can improve it further. My ultimate goal is a sub 2:01 time on this course but I have found that I am losing time to you in a few places - most notably the thwomp cut on all 3 laps. Is there a consistent way to get extremely low air off the thwomp? A couple of other minor questions I have is on the first left turn approaching the first thwomp of the track you somehow manage to softdrift the turn in one fluid motion, compared to me who has to mix-soft drift it in order to stay clear of the offroad. I have tried watching your input display and, having copied exactly your inputs, still somehow end up in the middle of the off road (not even just barely touching the edge and slowing down a bit). Is there a way you can tell me how to do this? Finally, on lap 1 in the red pipe section near the end of the lap, I drive on the right side and stay on the right of the thwomp at the end. You go left instead. Does your way save more time than mine does or does it just come down to personal preference? It would mean so much to me as someone who is trying to improve their time if you could maybe help me out with some of my issues. Maybe you could do a tutorial on the track if you want to make a more in depth and public response to my question. Regardless, you are an amazing player at this game and keep up the good work! :)

Getting low air on the thwomp relies mostly on driving off of the part that slopes down. For the soft drift turn, you need to make sure that you fully delay drift, and Emil actually does the maximum -3 soft drift instead of -4 which involves going slightly higher up than the corner notch with the control stick, most notable on lap 2 input display. Going to the right side of the pipe lap 1 is probably a little faster since the next turn is to the right and you don't need to rehop or delay the wheelie that way, so Emil probably did that out of preference/consistency.

It gives a competitive advantage to have one person on your team as the designated bagger to drive backwards and try to secure the shock since it has such a large impact on the race. This format is called sui and is used in almost all war settings.
