I'm so sorry Emilia. And I'm sorry for all the people who looked to Daenerys and found strength in this woman. She was an abuse survivor. Someone who stood up for herself, and came to help so many people that nobody else cared about. She had to endure men saying that she was "nothing", or calling her "crazy" because she wanted to stop people owning and abusing slaves, and she gave them the finger and powered on. I'm absolutely disgusted that in a few episodes, they just turned her into her father, and gave the biggest F you to all the people (especially women) who found that strength and inspiration with Daenerys. I know there will be those that said she was headed this way all along, but no. She was not. Being morally grey doesn't make you mad, killing your enemies (in this setting) doesn't make you mad, and that's what all the characters do. She was never shown enjoying killing as some other characters were, either. Being ruthless to your enemies doesn't mean you were going "mad" and would kill actual innocents and children. And an example the creators used of her "madness" being shown since S1? Her reaction to watching her brother die. Her brother who abused her, sold her, and threatened her life and her childs life. How dare she not have a reaction. Furthermore she named her dragon after him, still. (and was a human being capable of emotions and feelings, and forgiving and loving for SEVEN SEASONS) So anybody saying that this was her journey all along: you're just helping them with this disgusting message. That woman being anything but docile and having any kind of power makes them "mad." And when we get angry, we're just crazy women. And we can't be ruthless in war.. oh no. Women cannot handle power, apparently. I mean.. we had two "mad" Queens in the end. And the lead male protagonist gets to be the hero of the story, while the lead female protagonist gets to go cray cray and be put down (by him.) I've just.. never been so disappointed in a show. And it's really disturbing the kind of messages that they're pushing to such a large audience. So incredibly disappointing and infuriating. All my dvds and merch are going in the bin where they belong. I mean the actors.. well done. But the writing is trash. And not that she'll ever read this.. but Emilia.. people will always love Daenerys.. who we know she really was. Who she was for the vast majority of the show.

I understand your anger, but if the message you got was that women cannot handle power, I think you’re seriously misreading it. I think the point is that basically no one, man or woman, can “handle power” on that scale. It inevitably corrupts you. The ones driven by the pursuit of power will tend to become destructive leaders and those who don’t care about power (and would make better leaders) don’t seek leadership in the first place. For sure, Dany was a multifaceted character - I agree that she genuinely cared about breaking people’s chains and that her ruthlessness always had a strategy behind it, but in the end her core motivation has always been pursuit of the Iron Throne as her birthright. That’s not to say that I think the execution of Dany burning down the city was well done - it was very poorly done.

C C Ok. So im just gonna say I dont think they did this to target women in the audience or send a political message. Personally I hated the ending because it made no freaking sense. -Dany going mad is technically possible, however they wrote it so stupidly and rushed that it literally made no sense. -Arya never used her faceless man powers. -Bran became thanos and literally sat in his chair the whole time doing nothing and waiting for shit to fall in his lap. And what was the point of Hodor? Like wtf? They completely dropped that plot thread for some reason, i was expecting them to do something with his time travel warging, perhaps it could have been the causeof danys madness by accidentally mixing the mad kings “burn them all” quote, or even the other way around and bran causing the mad kings burn them all moment by mixing danys burn them all moment. -Jon might as well have not existed like seriously. Emison Is Endgame she became a true Targaryen at the end, her face when she finally saw the iron throne was full of greed and thirst for power, she became the person she fought so hard not to be, she went nuts at the end burning everything and everyone with her dragon, even the innocents who surrendered and were going to give her King’s Landing, if Jon wouldn’t have killed here she would’ve destroyed everything thinking she was saving the world instead of ending it, it was sad, but it had to be done in order to save Westeros. Still, I hated the ending of everything

How can I enjoy any of it when everything was so pointless in the end and they did characters and storylines so dirty? And even though I never cared that much for LOTR before, I did watch them after I learned the spoilers about the end.. just to cleanse and watch something with an actual decent and satisfying ending.
