I mean, you can call him a hypocrite or a madman, but he at the very least pretends to be reasonable sometimes, like when he didnt kill Subaru for being rude and attacking him, when he met our guys before the attack but just said hello, when Sirius attacked him but her brushed her off, when 184 made a mistake and he tried attacking but changed his mind, when Emilia stood up to him but he gave her a chance to explain herself He's not immediately agressive on sight, but yeah he can get triggered randomly and decide to retaliate

this is something i just thought randomly -subaru interacts with felt in arc 1,she gets into an immediate danger(ersa) but benefits in long term as she becomes royal selection candidate subaru interacts with her in arc 5 and she gets into an immediate danger(heinkel) but if heinkel gives astrea assets to reinhard(just a guess),it will help her in long term -subaru interacts with priscilla in arc 3,she takes subaru to the royal palace where subaru becomes the source of entertainment for her in this arc priscilla brings heinkel to the gathering where he becomes the source of entertainment for her (ik this is not the most accurate parallel) -subaru interacts with crusch in arc 3 to plan an attack on white whale which succeeds but crusch loses her memories(a misfortune) subaru interacts with crusch in this arc to plan an attack on lust to take back the government office which succeeds but she meets a misfortune again -in anastasia's case they are just negotiating in both interactions are all these just coincidences or great storytelling or am i just reaching here?

What really threw me off was ep1 is long enough to be chopped into 4 episodes, and several of the other ones have runtimes that make ads impossible. They also play the end credits over the episode's last scenes to preserve as much available runtime as possible, too. So the episode count is pretty misleading about how much we're being given compared to a lot of other anime examples!

Totally agreed with the season split, even if we don't wait that much, hype will be reduced. Before season 3 started, there was a rumor that it was going to be 38-50 episodes long, including arc 5 and 6 together. Now we have to wait to see if we at least get a season 4 as early as possible...

Not sure if you're familiar with it but essentially half the season was released then we had to wait till the early part of the next year to get those episodes. Also happened to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 6 as well. Netflix didn't drop all the episodes at once or in a week by week basis. They dropped them in clusters and it killed the hype for a series that was essentially the climax to everything that came before. If all the episodes aren't ready just push back the entire season.

It is so heart warming to see Subaru embracing his role as a hero while not letting go of what makes him, him. He is a great hero because he is Subaru, not because he is pretending to be a hero. He just sees people as people, while archbishops are crazy monsters, and a lot of his companions are in that category as well, he never treats them as just that. To him a person is more important than their title.

I really wish they would have managed to make this season 2 cores (one for Arc 5 and one for Arc 6). People do really forget a lot and if I got a penny for every time I had to summarize the events of season one and two to my non Re:Zero obsessed friends I could buy the Iron Fangs off Anastasia. That being said the production quality is really good and I'm happy they're able to do the source material justice. I'm going back to reading EX 3 now and setting my alarm for February 5th to wish everybody a happy Re:Zero day once again. Cya

I have heard they do plan to do arc 6 as part of season 3 -- which could mean a year-round 4 cour season like shows such as One Piece do, with short hiatuses between cours. What that would look like is: * Fall 2024: first half of arc 5 (Priestella). * Winter 2025: second half of arc 5 (Priestella). * Spring 2025: first half of arc 6 (Pleiades). * Summer 2025: second half of arc 6 (Pleiades).
