Oooh that bossa nova vibe. I love bossa nova. I know a lot of people don't. There is just something in the bossa nova groove. Right . . . I’m going to sound like a broken record at this point. But _how on earth_ do you control the timbre of your voice while seamlessly switching from scatting to singing (“Let it fi-i-ind-fah-dop-ee-the answers to things . . .”) without skipping a beat? It sounds like two different instruments. Absolutely phenomenal. And then, of course, there’s the question of the magic behind maintaining the articulation while smiling . . . Anyway, I could wax technical for hours on end scrutinizing every bar and every beat of your singing, and finding something extraordinarily brilliant, but who needs that when simply listening to you and the band is pure joy!
