Yeah............ Wish they would've made her literally anything else. Sucrose should NOT come to mind when you think famous perfumer. 💀 Navia fits the bill more for that, or Emilie's own beta design. This one is so disappointing. It's not that the design is that bad (could be worse, Arlecchino reminds me of this every week), it's just that she doesn't give off perfumer. Even her colour scheme is super boring and gives off country girl in a cottage tending to a garden more than renown perfumer. The beta design that was based on lavender fields gave the right vibe and was so beautiful. I hope they use it for another character and don't just scrap it. It's so rare to see a Hoyo character where the beta is leagues better than the finalised design (usually, they're close or beta was bad like Mimi/Kokomi), but I guess here we are. (Arlecchino could be thrown there too, since her suit was less crowded in her initial design sheet, and it had a cool assymetry, also her taking her jacket off was a neat idea compared to the hideous atrocity we got, but hers are more subtle changes with big impacts rather than big overhauls like Kokomi [favourable] or Emilie [unfavourable.]) The only silver lining in this is that I could pull Navia on her rerun, and Furina C2/weapon, all F2P due to skipping Emilie, whom I'd been saving for before.... If she had her old design I'd either have to scrap Navia, a Furina con, or spend. 😭

@@fatuusdottore I don’t know why you chose to bring that negativity here of all places. I think similarities to Sucrose is fine considering Emilie is also a botanist and is well versed in forensics. I wouldn’t have mind if they experimented more with vision and color coordination but I’m not mad they chose to make her resemble a Rainbow Rose with a Lumidouce accent color. They’re the two main flowers we see in Fontaine. Her concept design was pretty but at the end of the day, was a concept that wasn’t even supposed to be seen publicly. That’s why consuming too many leaks leads to has the opposite effect of getting people excited; you’re raising expectations on something that was never promised

I mean, in truth, water does taste differently depending on the source. We just don't care to spot the differences since we don't drink water expecting it taste like anything. I'm very outdoorsy and truly, water from some sources do taste different than others. In my country there's several companis that sell filtered water and you can taste the difference between each brand too

Yeah. I drink a lot of water and when I moved cities for my studies I really wasn't a fan of my new residence's water taste. Eventually I got used to it but I still perceive its unique taste and still very much prefer my hometown's water.

I can't stress enough how much mihoyo does character designs right there isn't a single dissatisfactory character design in genshin imo, even if I don't "like" all of them infact, all of them are extremely well done if we consider EVERYTHING about them case and point: emille I'm still not gonna pull for her, but you can be damn sure I kind of want her just from these voicelines alone, the thought of emille sending letters to tighnari or entertaining Neuv's water palette, Chiori''s fashion expertise and siege as a mother figure... maybe I'm just way too far off the deep end, it literally got me feeling lonely the way I'm fantasizing about regular ass conversation literally every one of them makes me want to wish I knew a character like that in real life, all of them just hit that way and if they ever don't hit in some way then they hit even harder trying to fill in the blanks, it's just so peak bro on a separate note what I thought was a centipede was just a hair brushing on me every time I leaned in a certain way, paranoia is killing me sleep is important guys

Unpopular opinion : I actually quite like her design. Especially the colors. Sure she had some very promising concept art but also a bunch of worse designs that I'm glad didn't make the cut. I sadly just think she's not that interesting... Character wise. Like she seems polite and intelligent, well spoken an so on. But we already have a bunch of characters like that. Feels like the only thing separating her is her knowledge of perfume and scents. But that not enough to make her unique or interesting personality wise. It's just a shame, especially after knowing she sometimes works with Chevreuse on cases and all that. Kinda hoped for a more sharp, reclusive and lone wolf kinda character.
