Yeah............ Wish they would've made her literally anything else. Sucrose should NOT come to mind when you think famous perfumer. 💀 Navia fits the bill more for that, or Emilie's own beta design. This one is so disappointing. It's not that the design is that bad (could be worse, Arlecchino reminds me of this every week), it's just that she doesn't give off perfumer. Even her colour scheme is super boring and gives off country girl in a cottage tending to a garden more than renown perfumer. The beta design that was based on lavender fields gave the right vibe and was so beautiful. I hope they use it for another character and don't just scrap it. It's so rare to see a Hoyo character where the beta is leagues better than the finalised design (usually, they're close or beta was bad like Mimi/Kokomi), but I guess here we are. (Arlecchino could be thrown there too, since her suit was less crowded in her initial design sheet, and it had a cool assymetry, also her taking her jacket off was a neat idea compared to the hideous atrocity we got, but hers are more subtle changes with big impacts rather than big overhauls like Kokomi [favourable] or Emilie [unfavourable.]) The only silver lining in this is that I could pull Navia on her rerun, and Furina C2/weapon, all F2P due to skipping Emilie, whom I'd been saving for before.... If she had her old design I'd either have to scrap Navia, a Furina con, or spend. 😭

@@fatuusdottore I don’t know why you chose to bring that negativity here of all places. I think similarities to Sucrose is fine considering Emilie is also a botanist and is well versed in forensics. I wouldn’t have mind if they experimented more with vision and color coordination but I’m not mad they chose to make her resemble a Rainbow Rose with a Lumidouce accent color. They’re the two main flowers we see in Fontaine. Her concept design was pretty but at the end of the day, was a concept that wasn’t even supposed to be seen publicly. That’s why consuming too many leaks leads to has the opposite effect of getting people excited; you’re raising expectations on something that was never promised
