Honestly, I don't hate her, but it's just wayyyy too much obsession with her. But the concept of fanning out is just ridiculous to me in general. Idolizing people as though they are 'other than' or 'greater than' to the they are treated as being so special is a great example of being consumed by distant objects or things that are not grounded in reality. She's a person, not a deity.

It’s because she’s talented and her music means something to people and she’s almost reclusive so she’s not over exposed and people don’t get many opportunities to interact with her or hear her speak. She’s the only pop star with enough popularity to hit the billboard charts who also never tries to be relatable or interacts heavily with the public. Scarcity makes someone seem special and more desirable. Honestly though she’s not the only one who gets this reaction. Prince, Cher, Meryl Streep, Naomi Campbell and Mariah Carey maybe. Many grown folks fangirl over them and would probably bow at their feet if asked lol. If you don’t try to be likable and don’t overexpose yourself and you have talent + success, people will deify you.
