Would be great if a company would come out with a customizable pallet where you can chose from a range of shades and they send you everything to pop into the pallet frame. I know some companies have sort of done this but I feel like no one has ever really put effort in providing wide shade ranges.

It's way more expensive than $15 but indie brand lethal cosmetics has a make your own palette. Also theres colourpop. You can get blush bronzer highlighter and eyeshadows. I wish more companies would do it too.

I like the Salt NY palette (I have the mini) and just put my MAC, Viseart, and Chantecialle eyeshadow singles. Works well and the Salt palette is very well made and looks classy!

Makeup Geek has something like this - an under $15 beautiful magnetic pallet, (I think they still have it), that is empty, and then you can buy their eyeshadows, blushes, etc to put in it. I snatched up two of the pallets when they came out and I’m waiting for Marlena to release her complexion products so that I can create a full face pallet like this that suits my skin tone - Marlena has always been great about including all skin tones and not forgetting brown and black skin whenever she has released blushes, bronzers, and highlights in the past, so I am excitedly waiting to see what she does with complexion products!

@@bethhighter8428 I have pretty fair, cool toned skin and my favorite bronzer/contour product that I’ve found thus far (that is also really affordable) is the Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder in the shade 02 Sunkissed. It’s the most cool toned one that is in the line. It seems to work really well on me and not pull very warm. I will typically use that one as contour and bronzer all in one. The more affordable brands really need to come out with more actual contour palettes at the drugstore! Those are few and far in between! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Same here. Most brands don't put out things that are cool and pale enough. Most things have too much yellow and gold which are extremely unflattering to me. But this is just how it goes. My skin tone is unique, I guess. I can't wear any of the Elf putty blushes (to warm), I couldn't wear Becca's peach pop (too peachy gold), I can't wear Nars organic blush (too warm and too peachy). Most of the favorites beauty bloggers and vloggers adore do not work for me at all. But that is okay. Brands have to cater to people who have more common skin tones and most people have more yellow to neutral tones. It makes it a challenge sometimes, but that is okay. Milani runs very warm almost across the board, so I can't wear most of their face products. I wish I could as I love their baked blush formula. I just live vicariously through my daughter who has a darker and more golden skin tone. She can wear all things gold and peachy and it looks amazing on her!

I have two of the CT Instant Look in a Palette, and I really like them for a fast, cohesive look. $75 is a lot, but I like the quality. I'm really interested to try one of these. Thanks for reviewing these. I love that this palette has more space between the pan. The CT palettes can be difficult for me to use because the face products are small, and so close together. I love how much space there is separating the face products in this Milani palette.

These look great especially for travel however I would say they need at least one more deep dark palette that’s deeper and darker I am medium and could easily wear the medium so where does that leave deep and deep dark? Someday companies will do better from the jump?

I’m glad you reviewed these because I love face palettes and was curious about them! Unfortunately, I think I’ll be passing on these. I have a pretty fair/cool skin tone and they don’t look like they would work for me at all. They both lean very warm! But they look absolutely beautiful on you!!! 🤗 I wish the more affordable/drugstore makeup brands would come out with more good contouring palettes. I typically go for cooler tones for contouring and bronzing for my skin tone, because that seems to work the best for me and not look super orange! 🙈

I needed my "Emily Guidance" to determine shade selection b/c too have been stuck on the bronzer & eye shadow in the fair/ medium palette. I agree, you totally called out my shade selection dilemma! The bronzer seems a bit yellow/ light, would have been great if it was a bit deeper and more red, and, I too was concerned there might not be enough contrast in the eyeshadow. I know most folks are highlighter crazy... but I'd love a palette with a glowy blush and forgo the highlighter for a nice finishing powder. Honestly, I want them both. I tan really well in the summer... I'd like to mix the palettes. You'd get so many combos with both. That hold highlighter in the deeper palettes would make a gorgeous eyeshadow. These palettes have really intrigued me, especially as I do love my Stoned Rose palette by CT. I am pale and very cool. The light palette would not work for me. Lol, I don't work in marketing or sales for a cosmetics company. Just a consumer who never purchases face palettes because they always leave out several demographics. Far too many customers are not fairly represented. Yay new video! Those palettes do look lovely, but might not be deep enough for me, at least for their intended purposes. In the lighter palette though, maybe you can mix the deep shadow with the bronzer to get more of the tone you like for the face? Keep the videos coming!

While there isn’t a lot of depth or variation, I do think Milani had their finger EXACTLY on the pulse. These softer looks that look just thrown on, where you can barely tell there is more than one shade being used, is definitely where makeup is going this year. I’ll definitely be buying this (and passing along my more complicated palettes)

I ordered the light skin one from Milani's website on original release, then a few days later while browsing at Walmart came across both palettes, and got the darker one. A lil cheaper at Walmart! Hi Emily! I love watching your videos, even though I don't wear a ton of makeup. I wonder if you could do a full face of cream makeup. I have really dry skin, and putting any powder on does not feel good. I just got the new elf multi-stick for blush and the physicians formula bronzer stick. I really like both of those. I like a natural satin finish with the healthy glow look. I would love to see what you would suggest and looks you can come up with! I have also been interested in how I can use the same product for multiple makeup applications, like using my bronzer stick for bronzer and eyeshadow. I also saw somebody use eyeliner blended up as eyeshadow. I've also been experimenting with using my sheer lipstick as blush and eyeshadow. I think it's fun to see what can be done with minimal products. Thank you for sharing your wonderful insight. I love that you always experiment before giving a review. I also really appreciate the positive messages you have been sharing in your videos. I have a new son, and I recently watched your video about making time for yourself to do makeup. Dollar General has " there brand " of makeup & everything is 5$ and under & their nice I've seen other utuber's with over 1.m followers who said it's one of their top 10 foundations,. Hi Emily the light palette is VERY warm and will not be something that suits my very pale cool toned skin. Milani as a brand seems to have a LOT of warm/yellow toned complexion products - with a couple of cooler toned blushes thrown into the line. It's not for me, At least the expensive CT version looks quite neutral. I have a couple of face palettes from IT cosmetics (QVC uk kits/TSVs), so it's not something I need, but the overly warm tone of the palette would put me off if I did. As another comment stated cool versions of both would have added to the line really nicely and been a more welcome launch. Very few people are traveling just now - so it won't really have that function, but it is easy to reach for just one palette on a busy morning. Best wishes.

Hi Emily! Thanks for reviewing - I’m so glad to see something like this available at a drug store price point for folks and I really appreciate you buying and showing the deeper option as well. I mentioned in a reply to a comment below that this could also be achieved with Makeup Geek’s magnetic pallet that they offer as it comes empty, is high quality, magnetic, has a mirror, and then you can customize the eyeshadows, blushes, etc. that go inside. Might be a great option for those of us who have brown or very light skin tones because we can customize a lot better. I believe Marlena is coming out with complexion products soon, so I can’t wait for those - I’m def. going to create a full face pallet for myself - it would end up being a bit more than these Milani ones, but still - Makeup Geek is in the drugstore price range with higher-end quality, so I think it would work out to be a quality customizable buy. :) Thanks again for this video! I jumped on this palette immediately! Now you need to try Milani's new Keep It Full Maxxx lip plumper: It's fairly opaque, richly tinted with a strong burn but I love it. YES to more face palettes from Milani - how wonderful to collect them!

They definitely could! However the matte blushes in these are especially intense... so I'd make sure to use those lightly if adding to an eye look :)

When I put pink on my eyes it makes me look ill or like I have been crying. I sure hope they come out with cooler tones.
