We got a Disney book advent calendar at Costco this year and it’s been a huge hit! And the best part is that the books can be easily re-wrapped so you can shuffle the books around to different days and re-use every year. My daughter is only 3, so she doesn’t know all the characters, but I’m sure she will get to know them more as she grows.

i love all the frosty the snowman, rudolf the rednosed reindeer( from the 60s), santa claus is coming to town from 1969, the grinch cartoon, the sound of music. These are some of my favourites! Of course i am 56, and i was born in 1965, so i watched all of these every year since i can remember, and watched them with my kids as well when they were younger... And I still watch them tody with my 26 year old son, and we still enjoy them!

My family is bad about last minute shopping but I was ready and wrapped December 1st! It helps that I don't work. A couple of years ago, I got the brilliant (read: Stupid) idea to go to our local mall on Christmas Eve and search for useful things for my 18-year "better than better half." My search was mostly navigating the parking lot...how stupid can I be? Then the brain kicked in: I watched a couple of women, weighed down with bags and one of them using a baby stroller to hold even more stuff. So I pulled up alongside them, asked if I could have their parking space, and offered them a ride to that parking space on the tailgate of my pickup truck. Done! Now I take the truck whenever I'm shopping and offer help to women, especially the ones with kids or with obvious disabilities. Just a small act of kindness, but it makes me feel good! I don't know why I thought you might enjoy this, Emily, but best wishes to you and yours for these upcoming holidays! And maybe, if you ever wander out here to Southern California, I'll find you in a parking lot and give you a ride back to your car! Random acts, yes, I'm guilty!

I've been wondering about the Cover FX Enhancer palette. It looks gorgeous with 3 shades and the reviews on Ulta's site are great, but hardly anyone on youtube has reviewed this. If anyone here has used it or tested it out in person in one of the stores, I'd love to hear about it. Is it glittery or subtle? Cover fx tends to make products that are great for older and textured skin, so I'm curious if I can use these for blushes and just get a hint of color and not too much sparkle or if these are really strong highlighters.

Beautiful makeup look, the foundation looks good on your face, not too matte but not too glowy either. I have one of the Makeup Forever lipsticks in the black tube, and the packaging is a bit hard to store because the cap is angled. The lipstick inside is good, a regular lipstick.

That is going to be awesome! I wanted the Dream House when I was Belle's age. I had a friend who had EVERYTHING and I was so envious. Every barbie there was, she had. She even had the Darci dolls and all of the Michael Jackson dolls because "her Barbies don't like Ken." She even had a play room that was 75% Barbie stuff, clothes, horses, cars, pets, Skipper, shoes (so many little shoes) you name it. If it was Barbie related, it was there. I was in heaven when we went inside to play. Or I would have been because she rarely wanted to play Barbies... When Christmas was coming around I was telling everyone I wanted the Peaches and Cream Barbie and a "Barbie House" it could have been any dollhouse for all I cared. I ended up getting a teddy bear with the $2.95 price tag on it and an ice skating leotard that my cousin grew out of (I didn't ice skate. Ever.) and I was so bummed. I was 7.

I think the difference between glazed donut and disco ball highlight would be the fineness/chunkyness of the product. Might I suggest taking pics of your gifts and organize them on by the giftee on an One Note, Excel, or Word doc? That way you can compare who's getting what. Alternatively, take pics but NUMBER the wrapped gifts (like on the gift tag, instead of a name). You can adjust who receives what that way without needing to cover the previous tag.

I love advent calendars! We have one that we have to fill each day (got at TJ Maxx years ago, it has a cute snowman scene on it). Our elf Fred fills it with candy, money and small gifts. Christmas specials... Rudolph! The first year that he was on, it was my homework to watch it! The thing with hyluronic acid is that it attracts moisture - so unless you live in a humid environment it will draw water to the surface of your skin, where it will evaporate and leave your skin even dryer. It’s important to ensure your skin is hydrated if you use HA.

I have the By Terry translucent setting powder in a compact it's the same as you're using but in a sample size. I love it! I won out by getting 2 of them as free gifts for just spending like $25 bc BT is notoriously expensive. But if you used it over a hydrating concealer, you'd love it!

Having the color story mapped out for me is something that I find myself having a comfort with in comparison to HudaBeauty Rose Quartz palette, which is hard for me to think about which color goes where or what color is first, second or third. with this palette we are talking about having a Color Story thought out, that this color goes to the crease, this one on the lid, etc it's something that I find very very useful also there's and underlying told that this palette has but Milani all inclusive ass that gives a monochromatic look with a little bit of a metallic silver so that's why I think I would purchase one of these two fashioned on the pallets I reach for milani's all inclusive pretty much daily so thank you Emily Merry Christmas

Emily, if you have a Target near you, go there for stocking stuffers! They have a HUGE section (that shrinks literally by the day bc this section has been found out!) that has little gifts for kids of all ages.
