Good morning! I just returned from vacation and realized what a difference soft water vs hard water made on my skin, from the look of the makeup to my use of shampoo and conditioner (less product and more softness in my hair ). I don’t hear beauty KZbin people talk about whether they use a water softener at home. This may help explain why some products work better for you (or not) compared to some of the viewers experiences. Just a thought. I saw such a difference that upon returning home that I immediately ordered a shower head with a filter.

I LOVE that you blended the eyeshadow (your crease color) a bit further in (closer to the beginning of your brow)!!! :))) I find this shadow placement so flattering on you, Emily!!! I feel like the Elf highlighting brush similar to the small tapered brush and it looks like they're still making it. Its what I use to set my undereyes and t zone. Not sure if you've tried it. Also....no spring picture days for me in elementary school. Just the fall one.

I bought this foundation and used my go to pink beauty blender and it didn't wow me. I saw eveeyone using a brush to apply, I tried applying with a brush and i loved it! There was more coverage and it wasn't cakey. I have normal skin with oily T-zone.

Nude lipsticks are so difficult because the colors look completely different on various skin depths & undertones. Things that someone describe as nude pink pull orange on ultra-fair yellow undertone skin. You look gorgeous as always, Emily!

Oh lord yes. I have so many lipsticks I can’t wear. Yellow undertones out the wazoo. My beautiful mother could wear bright orange, bright pink and it would brighten her whole face. I turned into Bozo and needed a rubber nose. My only good thing is my skin turned a nice golden tan in summer.

@@bonnieweeks8383 nooo don’t think that! Just change up the tone. With my skin, I just always ensure to pair it up with a good lip liner. (Being a woc, you learn that early on) I love bright lipsticks, you just have to understand the undertones and that’s the complex part, is if you want a flattering lipstick that’s bold. You’ll have to splurge.

I often will start with another brush and wind up switching to it, choosing it over my "fancier" brushes. Elf-why? More than when I get my Sephora packages 😁 I’ve been using the butter coffee bronzer from your recommendation and absolutely love it! Also, have you tried the kiss lash glue with aloe? It’s formaldehyde free and latex free. I remember you having some issues with lash glue and running out of the one you were using. This one is really good and lasts all day, I have sensitive eyes and it has never bothered me. With dry mature skin, MUFE has never worked for me. The foundation, the HD powder, tube eye shadows, just won't sit on my skin without cracking, caking, and creasing. Very frustrating, but I appreciate the many other products on the market that Emily explores for us.

Watching Arthur with my kids. I esp love the later seasons of it where they get more into family issues and DW growing up. There are movies and holiday specials and Buster gets a Spinoff show for a while too
