Oh no! Yeh wrinkles happen when paper gets wet and expands…the iron helps for sure!

Do you have the tutorial for the Fall busted canvas that you made?
@emilyseilhamerart4 ай бұрын
I’m working on a longer version but it really is the same method. I used a napkin instead for the back of the stretch canvas and for the canvas board. Then I painted the front of the stretch canvas. Just posted a short about it too! kzbin.infoq6NM8M1KML8?feature=share

Did you card stock for the top of can or print design on paper. I done one with heavy card stock and it’s stiff and unworkable
@emilyseilhamerart3 ай бұрын
I used scrapbook paper, but it was a thinner paper than heavy card stock. If your paper is too thick the layers won’t be able to pull back. If you don’t have thinner paper napkin patterns work well because they are thinner!
@bettymarrone73864 ай бұрын
I know this sounds silly however I dont own a iron is there something else I can use?
@emilyseilhamerart4 ай бұрын
Hmm good question! You could just paint the canvas instead…The iron is just one method though, some people don’t dry the mod Podge first and put the paper on wet. If you use a damp paper towel and wet the back of your paper before putting it over the wet glue that may prevent wrinkling as it dries because paper expands when wet.

Che carta viene usata x questo tipo di quadri?
@emilyseilhamerart21 күн бұрын
I used very thin scrapbook paper. You can also use napkin/tissue paper. You just don’t want to use very thick paper or it will be too tough to cut/bend
@juliebeamschaeffer13422 ай бұрын
I'm having an issue with bubbles underneath the paper after using the iron. What am I doing wrong? How do I correct it? Thanks
@emilyseilhamerart2 ай бұрын
Hi Julie, have you let it fully dry and try ironing again? In this video I dry the Modpodge first to help prevent bubbles, but sometimes it can still happen. Usually this means the paper needs to fully dry so it can contract back to its normal state
