I've seen a lot of CEP vlogs and I was curious about your first night in Florida before you check in to housing. Did you have to pay for the hotel yourself or did disney cover the cost? If not, roughly how much was it? Love your videos :) xxx
@emilyswanderland6 жыл бұрын
Bethan Chapman you pay for it yourself and normally team up with other people on the program to split the cost of a room. I like staying in the budget Disney resorts but you can really stay anywhere in Orlando so depends where you choose! Think it’s around £30ish per night if you have a room of 6 though xx

There is a motel down 192 right before 27 on the left. $40 a night and won't have to share a room. About 20 minutes or less down the road can just get an Uber from the airport or whatever

Have you ever been inside an odd-numbered apartment (ie. 3 beds in one room)? Are the beds allocated pre-arrival or is it a first-come first-serve basis? So a patterson 5-bed apartment would have 2 bedrooms; one with 2 beds and one with 3? I can't help but think this layout would cause tension between roomates as we'd all be paying the same amount of rent, yet some of us would have 2 roomates and the other would only have 1! Or have I got this completely wrong? I'm struggling to find any videos that show this and would be grateful for your help! :)

I was in the patterson 5-bed for my 2nd program and it was just first come first served for who got what (I was last so got top bunk!) It did obviously seem unfair as I was paying the same as them and the room with only 2 beds was actually bigger than ours which housed 3 people, but I just got on with it - it's just a place to sleep at the end of the day!

Thank you for your quick response! Did you ever find it difficult sharing your bedroom with 2 other people? I've never shared a bedroom before for more than a couple of nights, so I'm unsure how I'd cope with it!
@emilyswanderland6 жыл бұрын
Ahh if you watch my latest video then you'll see how that went for me :') honestly though I don't see why it would be a problem if you got the right people, and on my first program I loved having a roommate as we got on so well. Also you're barely even in the apartment as you're so busy having fun everywhere else!
@deanyduck6 жыл бұрын
Yes I did see your video about your roomie getting termed! Nightmare! As I enjoy being alone, I'm a bit worried that having 2 other people in the room will be a bit overwhelming for me! I suppose it's something you get used to after a while though. Thank you very much for your responses! :)

Hi everyone I am looking at applying for a crp role but one thing putting me off is the accommodation as I know you have to share I have watched a few of these videos and nobody talks about the bed situation and sharing situation I read a few comments talking about bunk beds in 3 but not in 1 and also how many people would be in a room and sharing a bathroom? Just wouldn't want to be sharing a room with people who go out till late every night and don't think about housemates as I have had a bad experience already if anybody can shed light on this please reply thanks in advance

When do you need to apply to the 2019 program? Can you apply in your first year of university?
@emilyswanderland6 жыл бұрын
Lauren Moxham you have to have completed a year of university to apply, and applications open the summer before your program would take place :)
@laurenmoxham16536 жыл бұрын
So first time you can apply is at the end of your first year for the second years summer?

Lauren Moxham applications are open for Spring 2019! You can apply during your first semester to do the program during your second semester! You can also apply up until 6 months after you graduate. Hey I’m from the uk and I have a few questions as I am applying this summer for 2019! 1- is this video for the college programme or the cultural exchange programme? 2- when you get accommodation can you chose who to stay with or is it all random? 3- if it is random can you contact the people ur assigned with before you go? 4- when it comes to taking things with you such as bedding and stuff is it better to but it there or take it with you? And finally 5- how much money would u recommend to take because I know you earn money but your rent and stuff is taken out. Thank you Jess xx
@emilyswanderland6 жыл бұрын
Jess Xo this is applicable to both programs but I did the CEP myself - I’m actually planning a Q&A video so can answer these in that but yes you can choose at least one person to room with ☺️ x

To live in these housing complexes do you have to be in dcp? Can people who are just regularly looking for a place to live live in one of these complexes or are they strictly for dcp goers? Or are there separate housing for dcp and non dcp?
