This is a darn good demonstration. Sifu Emin is using pressure correctly and not overpowering his opponent. His pressure is more what I call "stand your ground." This teaches students to control the distance and engagement. When rolling, he is taking what the partner is giving him. Sometimes he will follow-up attack or counterattack his partner. He is very impressive. This system is contrasts with WSL or more "traditional" systems that heavily emphasize forward pressure and overwhelming the opponent. That also is a good system. But, Emin teaches the system from the outside in rather than inside out. His system teaches you initially to handle the initial engagement, manage distance, first. In other systems, this comes later. It's a different approach, not a better or worse approach.

Chi sau is a good training tool But if you’re just slapping your partner around then what are they going to learn it’s got to be a two way give and take Sly slaps to the ribs or chest aren’t going to achieve anything either Only if both sides agree that it’s going to contested that is ok
