I'm 32, fist heard this as a kid. Now I'm listening again as a 32 year old, splitting up from his wife with a kid, selling his house and also maybe facing redundancy at work, it really hits different when you imagine Em's perspective at the time of writing this song. Even though he was loaded etc he still lived a life like us until his mid 20's and this song shows it, it's mad to be able to relate to somthing from someone you've always loved.
