I think Em didn't want to overshadow this kid's career since he just signed him. Told him not to put Eminem in the title, just in the album art and let the reaction channels spread the word so they actually listen to him. Smart move. Em doesn't need the clout. Edit: To add to that, though, this kid has tracks where he is super lyrical and proficient, so it is strange that he didn't exercise those skills on this track. I'm sure there is some strategy behind it to not make Ez Mil sound too much like Eminem because then some people won't play his music and write him off simply because of that. Probably told him to rock the song the way he wants to, and not feel pressured to do all these lyrical acrobatics and show his cadence & flow. That's the best explanation I can come up with because I can't see Em doing a feature without hearing the other verse, especially with someone he signed to his own label. If he wanted this to sound different he would have told him to switch it up or helped him. I think the hook is fire though especially coming in after Em's verse... which was just insane and felt like old-school Marshall Mathers. Can't wait for another Em album to drop.
@guyatanosavia8487 Жыл бұрын
Probably also something to be said about doing the same thing as Em but being outclassed by Em on that specific angle. So he went for a different approach so as to not get overshadowed on the track which I think is a smart move

This is actually just an introduction.. this song is still under virgin music, on which Ez is signed as an independent artist.. Duality: Redux is his last album as an independent artist i think.. the next album that he will be going to make is the actual album under Em's and Doc's labels.. that beat is actually one of Ez's unreleased tracks, not expecting or knowing that the beat will be used on this track with Eminem.. and just keep in mind that Ez is not just a rapper.. i think they signed him as an overall artist because he can produce different kinds of genres.. so don't just put him in a box that he will just be rapping on all his songs.. and i think just being on a same track with Eminem is a dream come true for Ez, he just wants to pay homage to the Realest which is Em himself..

Ez said on an interview that he was told to attend a secret meeting and just bring his unreleased tracks but was surprised when he met Eminem and Dr. Dre for the first time. He then played some of the tracks for them including Realest which he produced and already has the hook and the 1st verse. When Dr. Dre heard it , he said that "Yep, Marshall will eat that up." And Eminem agreed and so this epic collab happened. So if people will just listen to Ez's lyrics properly instead of judging prematurely just because of having Eminem as a feature and preferred him most, they would actually appreciate it much better with its deeper meaning. Ez fans who already knew what he is capable of from the beginning can even agree that he can be more aggressive or harder in his verse and can even go toe-to-toe with the G.O.A.T himself if need be, or even show or flaunt every talent he has in his arsenal immediately, but Ez opted instead to introduce a little bit of himself first and giving people a glimpse on what he could do , on what some of his opinions and struggles are while also paying homage to Eminem himself who he looks up to and has more experience in the industry , on his thoughts to some of the issues directed at him, and being aware and ready to face them especially with more to come with just being a part of the kind of business he chose to be in. Then Eminem entered and spit what others consider to be the verse of the year, which was just an example of what would happen in the future for Ez, with just the meaning of being signed with them itself giving a whole lot of meaning to how the industry works which can be dirty and cruel to an artist. Not everyone got that privilege of please listen ro my demo. They literally went from club to club to promote themselves. That "industry plant"? Or the "industry plant" who basically had EVERY record label in the world AND radio station refuse to play his stuff due to the content? That "industry plant"? Or the "industry plant" who has had almost EVERY appearance being picketed by one group or another AND now has a completely different generation wanting to "cancel" him due to the content of his older material AND still faces backlash over being "White in a Black led industry"... THAT "industry plant"? Once again, step OUTSIDE that small "hip hop club" scene and view it from a GLOBAL point of view, and Em's music IS being "pumped in the club" more often than anyone would be able to admit. And hey, if Em isn't "the thing you like", that's fine. Not every artist is going to be for everyone. But don't DENY the fact that the man was able to expand a genre's public acceptance on a global scale simply due to his skin color. It takes TALENT to become successful in as many different markets as Em was able to do on such a large scale. And THAT should be the easiest way to tell that his talent appeals to a far LARGER scale than just White/Black.

You’re one of the biggest reactors I was waiting on to react to this song because I know u would break it down. You’re a real hip hop fan with that being said, I wanted to point out some things: 1. I saw an interview by Ez Mil about this song. He was told to bring his unreleased lyrics and beats he already made not knowing who he was going to meet. After meeting Eminem and Dr.Dre, they listened to a bunch of his work-released and unreleased. He already has this beats and the lyrics prepared and Dr. Dre said “‘Em is going to eat this up!” So, when Em listened to it and read the lyrics, he said, yup let’s do it! 2. I do believe that Ez did what he was supposed to do. Remember, he’s still young but he’s hungry! He’s always said that one of his biggest influences is Eminem so what do you do when you have the rap god and your idol who signed you to his label, collab with you on your 1st song together? You know it’s gonna be fuc**** huge and everyone is going to listen to it. He wanted everyone to see a.) both he and Eminem are doing the same flows while talking about their haters. Ez is talking about the hate he’s getting as an up and coming artist because everyone knows he has a great potential and everyone who’s a real fan of hip hop can see that. He is telling the haters that he respects Eminem and that he thinks he is 🐐 by showing that Eminem’s flows and style that they are both using on this song together are still good and relevant to this day. He’s also conveying that he’s got the talent and wherewithal to solidify his position in the rap game and Eminem backing him up proves this. So his verse is his experience as a young artist and Eminem’s verse is addressing all the hate he has received for a long time while he has been silent and he’s finally addressing it. Everyone knows Em will always come with a dis track for people who comes for him sooner or later and he chose to do it on EZ’s song because it’s a marketing strategy as well. He knows it will get everyone’s attention and also shine a light on EZ’s talent. He thinks of Ez as his student because he knows how talented this kid is. 3. Dr.Dre and Eminem also told EZ that his diverse talents is his superpower and makes his rapping unique and different from the rest and that’s why it caught their attention and the reason they signed him. They know he can sing, rap, dance , write his on lyrics, makes and produce his own music, makes, produces, edits and do special effects of his own music videos, sings other genres of music (like metal), plays multiple instruments different types of guitars, pianos, drums, etc. He’s basically a one man show and they know how much work he puts in the craft because he truly loves music so they recognize his passion and capabilities and believe in him enough to sign him and work with him. Again this post is just my assessment mixed with some information based on some interviews made of Ez and news article from Shady Records website combined. If I missed anything or got anything wrong, please add to it. Thanks! ❤

@@eyezaropin I wonder if that’s the reason he’s releasing the Duality Redux Album on the 11th that includes this song which will help with the sales because Eminem is helping to promote it. 🤔 Do u think that would be considered his last album? I hope so. The faster he can move on to to Em’s and Dr. Dre’s label, the quicker they can start working on his debut album under their labels. I think it’s gonna be 🔥 because they gonna collaborate with him and further develop him. Can u imagine Ez and Dr De producing some sick ass beats together?! It’s going to be out of this world!

Here's how I feel personally I loved the track when I first heard it. And Quite frankly this joint was on repeat many times that's because of the beat, I love the beat that's what pulled me in. I'm not familiar with Ez Mill but I enjoyed his flow, rhymes and his hominizing hook in between the verses that's what kept me engaged in the song also. I wasn't intentionally looking for super lyrical bars. EZ bars, flow and his hominizing hook is what set him in his lane on this song so what he done on this song for me was enough for me to like it and have it on repeat because it wasn't trash at all!. Now although Im not a Em Stan or fan I can honestly say that I enjoyed his verse too nice bars, nice flow especially on this beat that i like (that's why production it just as important as rhymes). Em may have had a better verse but that doesn't mean EZ verse was less than. I'm trying to explain it the best way.. Basically my expectations wasn't real high so I enjoyed the song for what it is.
