Oh, so you know us so well to know that we're not compassionate people due to supporting the 2nd Amendment? Since you know me so well, how many people have me and my gun killed? How many bodies does my gun have without me handling it? The answer is a huge 0! My right to protect me and my family is just that! This song is brilliant, regardless of your political views. 1) He is empathizing with the shooter (not popular, but virtuous). He is recognizing that he, and many others, could have done terrible things, but luckily found a way out. 2) After we recognize that first part, we also must recognize that high powered weapons are too easily accessed. No, guns dont commit crimes.... but they do make murder A LOT easier. And when someone (like the shooter, and like Eminem) are in a bad place, the ability to easily purchase high powered weaponry can completely change the outcome of a single night.
